Why Two “20-Inch” Bundles can vary in cost.
This image is an extreme educational example showing why hair quality, density and price can vary so much—even when two bundles are both labelled 20 inches.
On the left — Single Drawn
Single-drawn hair contains a mixture of different lengths.
For example, a bundle labelled 20" could contain hairs measuring approximately 10", 12", 14", 16" and 20".
So, although the bundle is called 20", not every strand is actually 20".
Around 50–60% of the strands may reach the stated length.
There are many shorter hairs throughout the bundle.
These shorter hairs create flyaways and unevenness.
With washing, brushing and regular wear, the shorter hairs can become more noticeable, making the hair look less sleek.
On the right — Super Double Drawn (SDD)
With SDD hair, the shorter hairs are removed leaving most of the same length strands.
Around 90–95% of the strands may reach the stated length.
There are very few short hairs.
The ends look thicker, fuller and more even.
The overall finish is smoother, neater and more luxurious.
What about Double Drawn?
Double-drawn sits between the two:
Single Drawn: approximately 50–60% at the stated length
Double Drawn(DD) approximately 70–80% at the stated length
Super Double Drawn (SDD): approximately 90–95% at the stated length
The easiest way to understand it
Think of a 20-inch bundle like a group of people standing in a line.
That is why a 20" single-drawn bundle and a 20" SDD bundle can have very different prices and very different results.
You are not only paying for “20 inches.”
You are also paying for how many strands actually reach that 20-inch length and how full the hair remains from top to bottom.
The percentages above are illustrative industry-style ranges for education, not a universal grading standard. Exact percentages vary between suppliers and hair grades.

The beauty is in the details.
