Parenting whilst healing has undoubtedly been the most challenging part of my journey.

Watching myself automatically react from a traumatised nervous system and not from what I truly desire for my children at times has been heartbreaking and incredibly tough.

The paralysis that comes with the deep fear of causing any trauma to your own children can only be understood by those who’ve experienced and moved through it.

But the only way to truly become the parent that your children deserve is to face your own shadows.

To feel your way through.

To release the layers of grief stuck in your body.

To heal your nervous system.

If you do it properly, it is the hardest thing you will ever do.

But it’s also the most important.

The most impactful and life changing thing…not just for you, but for everyone around you.

It sends out powerful ripples of genuine, lasting change that is what this world so desperately needs.

This was me last night once the kids had gone to sleep.

I mean, who did I think I was kidding really?! 😅

I had to massage my neck and shoulder, place my hand over where it was most painful and I had to surrender to it.

I had to stop resisting and say ok, whatever energy is causing this pain, I am ready to feel it and release it now.

And sure enough, the tears followed and the pain subsided.

Sometimes I’m surprised at how deep the emotions seem to be coming from, but it makes sense.

This was my fascia talking to me…deep seated releases are its thing and I had to honour it or continue feeling the pain.

Sometimes I get the insight into the experience that caused the trauma, sometimes not at all and that’s ok.

We don’t need to understand and explain everything.

We only need to feel and let go.

Happy Full Moon in Aquarius…as well as everything else that continues to bombard us at the moment 🥴 🫣 😅
