What you’re watching is the original fusion bonding technique using loose hair, not factory-made pre-bonded tips.

Every bond is created by hand during the fitting, strand by strand. There are no ready-made keratin tips, which makes the process far more time-consuming and technically demanding. It requires a high level of skill, precision and control—not only to create consistent bonds, but also to avoid wasting loose hair, which is an expensive material to work with.

Pre-bonded extensions were developed later to make the application quicker, more accessible and more profitable.

I still choose this method because it gives me complete control over the hair quality, bond size and placement, allowing me to create truly bespoke extensions tailored to each client.

Sometimes the hardest techniques survive because they’re worth mastering—not because they’re the easiest to sell.

I get asked this all the time…

“No, these aren’t Microbonds.”

Microrings are attached using tiny beads. Microbonds are attached using heat. They may look similar, but they’re completely different methods.

The difference with my Microrings is that I don’t use standard factory-made tips.

I make every strand by hand using the hair quality I want, then customise the strand size and ring size to suit the client’s natural hair.

Why?

Because no two heads of hair are the same.

The best extension method isn’t decided on Instagram or by what’s trending. It’s decided during your consultation, based on your hair, your lifestyle and the result you want to achieve.

Every transformation starts long before a single strand is fitted.

• Read the pricing page and complete the online consultation form.

• Once I’ve reviewed your form, I’ll provide an estimated price range.

• If you’d like to proceed, we’ll book an in-person consultation where I’ll assess your hair, scalp, natural texture and suitability for extensions.

• I then take photos and videos of your hair and send them to my trusted supplier for matching.

• Unlike factory-made extensions, there is no colour chart. Each bundle comes from an individual donor, making every match unique in colour, texture, density and price.

• Once we’ve selected the perfect match, you’ll receive your final quotation.

• Your bespoke hair is then reserved, prepared and custom fitted to create the most natural result possible.

This is Fusion Bonding, one of my most popular methods for fine hair.

Unlike K-tips, which come pre-bonded with keratin, Fusion Bonding uses loose hair that is bonded directly into the hair during the fitting and doesn’t need pre- tipping!

Part 2 of yesterday’s transformation.

After 5 hours of highlighting, we lifted her fine delicate hair to a beautiful golden blonde without breakage!
