17. APPENDICITIS – rebound tenderness.
18. DENGUE – petechiae or (+) Herman’s sign.
19. MENINGITIS – Kernig’s sign (leg flex then leg pain on extension), Brudzinski sign (neck flex =
lower leg flex).
20. TETANY – hypocalcemia (+) Trousseau’s sign/carpopedal spasm; Chvostek sign (facial
spasm).

Pulse points are areas where the arteries are close to the skin, allowing the pulse to be easily felt. Here are nine major pulse points in the human body:
1. Temporal – At the temple, on the side of the forehead.
2. Carotid – On the neck, beside the windpipe.
3. Apical – Over the heart, at the left side of the chest.
4. Brachial – Inside the elbow, near the biceps tendon.
5. Radial – On the wrist, near the base of the thumb.
6. Ulnar – On the wrist, near the little finger.
7. Femoral – In the groin, where the leg meets the torso.
8. Popliteal – Behind the knee.
