When you think you have to go brunette to have lower maintenance hair!

Which In this case would have made my clients hair higher maintenance. This colour infact was only a half head and can you believe, No blonde was adding to the back at all. Just low lights to emphasise the blonde that was already there! We just placed blonde around the face frame with a soft tease

Hayley had enough of the copper life, it was nice while it lasted, but she’s a blonde at heart. The regular maintenance that the copper needed wasn’t for her either! I think you can agree! It doesn’t matter what colour her hair is. She’s a absolute knockout ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Today my client and just had enough of her Barnet, she was fed up of the warmth and just wanted to blend her Greys the best she could. Low maintenance hair was the main goal and a much softer grow out. She also loved her grey block through the front of her hair..

We looked at some inspos together, all the ones she brought were mainly ai, but I could get a feel for what she wanted. Then we went through Instagram together seeing what she loved and didn’t!

We then took that inspo and created something that would work with her natural growth pattern and a realistic colour change today. When doing colour changes like this, you need to be realistic and honest in your consultation. Sometimes you’re not going to get that target shade in one sitting! Which is ok! You can still make it look great along the way.

Remember the we are not copy machines and there’s reasons why certain things can’t happen in someone’s hair. I had many contraindications today! But when you explain the reasons behind this! Most people get it. Want their hair to be in the best condition, on their journey.

My clients hair, is also much lighter naturally, than the inspo, we wanted it to match to her natural rather than the inspos.

Anyway we’ve nailed it, there’s things that I will change on the next sitting, but for a first pass and the first time meeting my client. We are both over the moon 🌙

These two came with me on holiday and honestly, they are the only thing I will use when abroad . Keeping my hair feeling soft, hydrated, and protected after long days in the sun and swimming.

As a hairdresser, I know how much UV, salt water, and chlorine can take their toll, so I never travel without an after sun hair routine. A good cleansing shampoo followed by a nourishing conditioner makes all the difference.

My hair survived the holiday… and so did the colour! Which has faded minimally 💛
