We’re so used to paying for things that give us a little moment of joy - dinner, fresh nails, a massage, a night out. 🤍

Have you ever wondered how deep permanent makeup actually goes into the skin?
This is something I always want my clients to understand - especially if you’re worried that PMU will look like a tattoo. 🤍
Permanent makeup and traditional tattooing both involve placing pigment into the skin, but the depth, technique, pigments and intended longevity are different.
With PMU, the pigment is implanted more superficially and with a much more delicate approach.
The goal isn’t to create a solid, permanent block of colour.
It’s to create a soft result that works with your natural features and gradually fades over time.
And this is why depth matters so much.
▫️Too deep can lead to unnecessary trauma, pigment migration or unwanted colour changes over time.
▫️Too superficial, and the pigment may not heal or retain as intended.
The goal is the balance between the skin, the technique and the pigment - so your brows can look like brows, not like something drawn on top of your skin.

Yes, permanent makeup can be done in summer - as long as you give your skin the right conditions to heal.
The key is proper aftercare, avoiding intense sun exposure during the healing process and planning your appointment around your holidays - not right before them.
