Been using for 2 months now and it’s been a game changer for me!
Have you heard of it/ used it?
(How) do you limit your screen time? Always curious about people’s routines as a chronically online person myself 😅

Not mentioned in the video: you get 5 emergency unbricks on the app. I’ve used one so far because I had scheduled a post I needed to cancel 😅 Otherwise, I don’t foresee many scenarios where I MUST go online ASAP.

I’ll leave my referral code as a link in my bio if you decide to get one and that’ll give you a 10% discount 🤗 (I don’t benefit from this lol/ it’s not an affiliate link)

Thee Miss Jill Scott brought us into her “house” for this tour and wow 😍
She emphasised that she brought us real, human, LIVE music and boy did she deliver!
Her opening act J Bambii 🧿 was such a vibe!
The band genuinely could not have been any tighter.
The visuals were so beautiful.
Her background vocalists Freeman Dbg were phenomenal.

Pinching myself because this is MY life!🥹 Getting to see her & other incredible artists perform live is such a blessing and I don’t take that for granted! ✨

Mi Casa delivered a performance and a half 🔥😍

In this clip, the song is Mamela.

The chorus is in Zulu:
Aung’Mamele (listen to me)
Aung’Mamele
Aung’Mamele
Lovey Wami (my love)
Lovey Wami
Cel’ungbab isandla sami (hold my hand)
Sihambe, sihambe (let’s go)

The iconic song “Jika” 💃🕺

More of Mamela with Mo-T killing it on the trumpet!🎺

Loved this song: “Who Cares” ✨

Proof of life 🤭

Today is World Afro Day! 🪮
Granted the last time I had an Afro was before I got my locs in 2022, it was so much fun going through the archives and find pics/ videos of “Fluffy” the fro in different colours at various stages of my natural hair journey 🤭
The pics were all taken somewhere between 2018 & 2021.

If you rock/ have rocked your fro, post it & tag me! Would love to see them 😍

Notting Hill Carnival 2026 🔥💃

Made it for J’ouvert: “Meaning ‘daybreak’ or ‘opening of the day’ in French Creole, J’Ouvert signals the start of the Carnival celebration. Taking place in the early hours of the morning, it’s a time when Carnival-goers cover themselves in paint, mud, and oil, and take to the streets to dance and party to the sounds of soca, steelpan, and African drumming.
Its origins go back to the 18th and 19th centuries during the time of slavery in the Caribbean. Enslaved Africans were forbidden from participating in the masquerade balls and celebrations of their European oppressors. In response, they created their own forms of expression, drawing on African traditions of dance, drumming, and satire.
After emancipation in 1838, freed Africans took to the streets to celebrate, reclaim space and assert their cultural identity. The tradition of covering the body in mud, oil, and paint is believed to avoid being recognised, symbolising defiance, transformation, and freedom. In the 1940s, this celebration was moved from the emancipation date and merged with Carnival.”

👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

Got a good mix of flour, water and paint on me.
I covered my locs with both a shower cap and a scarf and paint still managed to make its way through onto my scalp 💀🤭 (thankfully the paint is water-based)

My friend said this selfie is very bus auntie coded and I can’t unsee it now 🤭

Jab Jab: “At the very core of the traditional mas form is satire, from its name to the act of blackening one’s skin. In French, “Jab” means “devil,” a derogatory term by which slave owners would refer to enslaved Africans. By painting themselves black and taking on the persona of a devil, or “playing the devil,” the formerly enslaved and their descendants mocked their former masters and the horrifying treatment inflicted upon them.”

What are you currently reading?

These are the books I’m currently hybrid/immersice reading (reading with my eyes as I listen to the audiobook)📚

1. Kingfisher - I own the physical copy and the audiobook is available on Everand- an audiobook subscription app that I’ve been using for the last few years.

2. Homegoing- I borrowed both the physical copy and the audiobook from my local library!

I’ve heard great things about this book for years. Can’t wait to dig in.

A snippet from my latest YouTube video where I share my tabbing system (link in bio)

Do you tab your books? What do you tend to tab?
