The key to starting aesthetic treatments at 50 is being strategic from the beginning.

The biggest mistake people make at this stage is trying to address everything at once. It’s understandable, but it rarely produces the best outcome, and it’s not how the most impressive, natural-looking results are built.

The approach that consistently works is to start with what makes the biggest difference and build from there. Skin quality first, because healthy, hydrated, well-functioning skin makes everything else look better and respond more effectively.

Then structure, because what looks like volume loss is often a loss of support in specific areas of the face, and restoring that carefully and precisely changes the overall balance of the face in a way that looks completely natural.

And then addressing the things that are making the face look tired, whether that’s the frown lines, the lower face, or the neck, depending on the individual.

The goal at every stage is to look like yourself, fresher and well-rested, not different.

If you’re considering aesthetic treatments for the first time and want to do it properly, start with a consultation and a plan. Head to the link in my bio to book in or send me a message and I’ll be happy to walk you through the options 💌

Most people asking about lip filler are not actually after bigger lips. They want more definition, a bit more shape, something that looks like a refined version of what they already have. This result is a good example of exactly that 👄

This patient wanted her lips to look more defined and a little more even, nothing more dramatic than that. Using a small amount of filler placed carefully along the border and into a few key areas, we sharpened the shape, improved the symmetry and gave the lips a bit more structure without changing the overall look of her face.

This is what I aim for with the vast majority of my lip filler patients. The goal is rarely a completely different mouth. It is about working with what is already there and making small, considered adjustments that genuinely suit the rest of the face.

If you have been put off by lip filler because of what you have seen elsewhere, this is a good example of what it can actually look like when it is done thoughtfully. ✨

Looking tired is one of the most common things people come to me wanting to address, and it’s also one of the most nuanced, because what’s driving that tired appearance is rarely the same from one person to the next.

For some it’s skin quality. For others it’s expression lines, loss of hydration, or changes in the delicate tissue around the eyes. Getting the treatment right depends entirely on understanding which of those is actually at play, which is why a proper consultation is so important.

The treatments that consistently make the biggest difference for a tired-looking face are skin boosters for deep hydration and overall skin quality, muscle-relaxing injections to soften expression lines when appropriate, and polynucleotides for improving skin texture and supporting tissue repair, particularly around the eyes.

Used in the right combination for the right person, the result is a face that looks genuinely rested - you, just the best version!

Crepey skin is one of those concerns that so many people notice but don't always know how to address, and it's one of the most satisfying things I treat because the right approach genuinely makes a real difference.

When the skin loses hydration, collagen and elastin in its deeper layers, creams can only go so far. Profhilo works at the level where the problem actually starts, which is why I reach for it more than anything else in these cases. If I could recommend just one treatment to make a meaningful difference to how someone looks and feels, it would be muscle-relaxing injections - one of the most consistently underestimated treatments in aesthetics.

People often assume they need a combination of things to see a real change, but a well-placed, well-considered muscle-relaxing treatment can do more for the overall appearance of the face than most people expect.

Done properly, the results are subtle enough that nobody can pinpoint what’s changed. Lines soften, the face looks more rested, and with consistent treatment over time, it can actually prevent deeper lines from forming in the first place. The people around you just notice you look well.

It’s also one of the most accessible treatments available. Minimal downtime, quick to perform, and when it’s tailored to your face and how you move, the results feel completely natural.

Every face is different, which is exactly why a proper face-to-face consultation is always the starting point.

Nobody warns you that your forties will change your skin in ways no skincare product can quite keep up with. Not just lines, but a loss of density, a dullness that lingers, a firmness that used to be there and quietly is not anymore.

By this stage, collagen production has been declining for years and the gap between what your skin needs and what it can produce on its own has widened. This is where Julaine comes in. Rather than masking what is happening, it works with your biology directly, stimulating your skin's own collagen and elastin production from within so the results build gradually and look entirely natural.

Here is what is actually going on with your skin in your forties and why this is the treatment I reach for most at this stage of life 👉🏼

If any of this sounds familiar, a consultation is the right first step. We will look at what your skin actually needs and build a plan around you.

This is exactly what natural lip filler should look like, and the kind of result I find most satisfying to achieve 👄

There is so much fear around lip filler, and a lot of it is justified when you look at what has been normalised in the industry over the years. But the reality is that when it is done with the right product, the right technique and a genuinely conservative approach, most people would never be able to tell you had anything done at all.

For this patient, the goal was simply to add a little hydration and definition, enhancing the natural shape without changing it and bringing a softness to the lips that still looks completely her own. No tell-tale signs of filler, just a subtle improvement that makes the lips look healthier and more balanced within the face as a whole.

This is the result most of my patients are actually looking for when they come in, and it is absolutely achievable. The key is working with what is already there rather than imposing a shape that does not suit the face, and being willing to do less rather than more when that is what the patient needs ✨

If you have been curious about lip filler but put off by what you have seen online, come in for a consultation and let us have an honest conversation about what is actually possible for you 💌

After years of consultations, there are patterns I see repeatedly.

Women in their 40s who are genuinely trying to look after their skin but unknowingly working against themselves.

These are the most common ones, and they are all fixable 👉🏼

If you want to know whether your routine is actually working as hard as it should be, that is exactly what a consultation is for. DM me "SKIN" or tap the link in my bio to get started. 🔗

Fillers and anti-wrinkle injections get a lot of attention in aesthetics, but if I had to choose one category of treatment that genuinely changes the long-term trajectory of ageing skin after 40, it would be biostimulators.

And most people still haven’t heard of them. 💭

By the time you reach your 40s, your skin is already dealing with declining collagen, depleting elastin, and fat pads that are shifting downwards. No skincare product, however expensive, can reach that level. You need to work deeper.

Biostimulators are injectable treatments that do not fill or freeze anything. They stimulate your body's own collagen and elastin production, essentially reactivating processes that have slowed down with age.

The results build gradually and look like genuinely better skin, not a procedure. The patients who invest in this in their 40s consistently present better in their 50s and 60s.

This is what is actually happening to your skin after 40 and why biostimulators are worth taking seriously 👉🏼

Volume loss in men is one of the most underrated changes I see in clinic, and one of the most transformative to treat when it is done well.

This patient came to me with early volume loss, something that happens gradually and often goes unnoticed until the face starts to look a little flat, tired or less defined than it used to. The goal here was never to change how he looks, but simply to restore what had been quietly lost over time and bring the face back into balance.

Using soft tissue filler across the full face, we restored lost structure and support, rebalanced the proportions and brought back a more refreshed, natural appearance with no obvious signs of treatment and nothing that looks overdone or out of place.

This is what considered filler work actually looks like. Subtle, measured and entirely undetectable, working with the face rather than against it. The result should always look like a better version of you, not a different one ✨

If this is something you have been thinking about, a consultation is the right first step. We will assess what your face actually needs and put a plan together that makes sense for you.
