About the Artist
We are excited to announce a collaboration between Berfin, a VJ artist from Ankara, Türkiye, and My Snug Room London.
Berfin creates visual works that combine art, sociology, and culture, exploring how hair can express identity, memory, and belonging.
Project Theme
Hair connects London and Ankara
This project transforms hairstyles, the salon experience, and personal stories into contemporary art.
The footage will become part of VJ performances, projection mapping, and mixed-media video works.
We’re Looking for Models
We are looking for people who would like to take part in this unique art project.
As a participant, you will be asked to:
* Be filmed during your hair appointment at the salon
* Be filmed after your finished hairstyle
* Optionally share short videos or photos from your everyday life
Your personal footage could include simple moments such as walking around your neighbourhood, spending time with friends or family, travelling, hobbies, or anything that represents your daily life.
Price
Please note that this is not a discounted model service.
All services will be charged at our regular salon prices.
Consent
Participants will be asked to sign a consent form allowing the use of the filmed material.
The footage may be used in:
* VJ performances
* Projection mapping
* Video artworks
* Art exhibitions
* Social media and project documentation
All content will be carefully reviewed and selected by the artist, and only approved material will be included in the final artwork.
