we did a reverse balayge on this angels hair, as the blonde unfortunately was staying at a warm lightness level despite gradually lightening over time, her hair is naturally more on the porous side so continuous bleach does dry her hair out and because of this her colour was fading quicker and appearing dull.
I added foils back of her natural colour allowing some dimension by keeping some previous blonde and toning her a cooler light brown/ beige. We also added 75g 14” tapes to add thickness and slight length to help her feel more confident in her shorter length 💇🏽‍♀️

you can go lighter without the bleach 😏

100g of mixed balayage tapes added to give my client super dark brown hair some lightness leading into spring and summer 🤎

corrective extension fitting for this client 🫶🏼

This lovely lady has her extensions fitted a week ago (not by myself) and unfortunately was experiencing discomfort and sore tension spots on her scalp due to cross over hairs and the little amount of hair in the bead that caused the extensions to bulge and twist due to the finer density of her hair.

I was able to remove all the extensions and was able to apply them correctly and comfortably in larger, new rows for her to avoid excess tension in the same areas over the duration of refits . The tension spots on the scalp were only minor and luckily had just started to form however scalp health underneath is the main priority to ensure a healthy environment for the natural hair to grow and thrive.

Girls, as much as we love having gorgeous long locks we must priotise a healthy environment for our scalp to ensure the best results with no damage.

WAYS YOU CAN PRIORITISE YOUR SCALP HEALTH 💇🏽‍♀️

• Keeping your natural hair clean with tailored shampoos to ensure all product buildup, sebum and sweat is removed to avoid blocked follicles.

•Avoiding excessive heat as this can lead to dryness and damage on both the natural hair and extensions.

•Hydrating internally will maintain the moisture of the skin, which prevents dryness and itchiness of the scalp, allowing to have a comfortable experience with extensions.

• Make sure you have an experienced stylist who cares and understands the priority of maintaining a healthy scalp, as well as healthy lengths. This will reflect in the condition of the hair after the service and overall the clients comfort.
