SO..... I did a thing.......

I had my Christmas reading cushions all planned… then last night I decided I could make them even better 😂📚🎄

So I’ve redesigned them right before launch, because apparently I like giving myself extra work!

The cushion in this photo is the original design. I liked it, but I had an idea I couldn’t leave alone, even though I’m at markets all weekend!

The new images are due on Monday, so I’ll show you the updated cushion as soon as they arrive. In the meantime, enjoy the BEFORE photo

As a little treat anyone who orders a Christmas reading cushion by Sunday 4 October will include a free Christmas story book 💛

Please tell me I’m not the only one who makes more work for herself right before a deadline! 🐝

Thank you The lovely people at the book shop for gifting me a book for the reading cushion on my stall today......

I’m in Hyde today and tomorrow, 10am–4pm! 🐝💛

Find me inside Clarendon Square Shopping Centre, 111–113 The Mall, Hyde, SK14 2QT. I’ve brought honey and bee themed gifts, so pop by for a browse and say hello!

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet, or are you leaving it a little longer? 🎄

A little update from the hives 🐝💛

You might remember that, after spotting wasps around the hives a few weeks ago, I temporarily brought my two colonies together while I worked out what was happening. I found queen cells, but sadly the new queen didn’t establish.

The bees are now fully reunited. With winter approaching, I feel happier knowing they’re together as one stronger colony. It’s been a big learning experience for me.

I’ve labelled a few things I spotted during the inspection:

🍯 Capped honey is honey stored beneath a wax seal. It’s part of the bees food supply for the colder months.

🤍 Larvae are baby bees growing in open cells. They look like tiny white, curled grubs. They’re a little tricky to spot in the photos, but I was so pleased to see them in person!

🐝 Capped brood are developing bees sealed inside their cells. They’ll emerge as adult bees when they’re ready.

I didn’t spot any eggs this time I always struggle to see them but finding larvae was reassuring.

I always get excited when I see what is going on during an inspection

Have you ever seen inside a beehive before? 🐝

✨PERSONALISED FOILED GIFT TICKETS ✨

It might be concert tickets, a theatre trip, afternoon tea, a holiday, a special meal or simply some time together. My personalised foiled tickets give you something beautiful to wrap and make the experience feel like a proper gift. 🎁

Each ticket is created using your chosen wording and finished with beautiful foil for an extra-special shine.

Some designs can also include a scratch-to-reveal surprise. ✨

What makes a Bee Gifted Father Christmas letter truly bespoke? 🎅📜

Father Christmas can mention your child’s achievements, their favourite things, siblings, pets, where they live and even the present they are hoping to receive.

You can tell me about those wonderful little “wow moments” from their year too. Perhaps they have started school, learned to swim, been brave at an appointment or shown kindness to somebody.

Those personal details are what makes the letter feel as though Father Christmas really does know them. ✨

"Mum, how did he know that?" Little one aged 7
