Exfoliation 101 Exfoliating is a great technique for sloughing away a build up of dead skin cells, dirt and oils You can find physical or chemical exfoliants on the market that help to break down the buildup on the surface of the skin. Doing so in your routine will aid in achieving smoother texture, increase cell turnover and keep skin conditions, like acne, at bay. It's important to remember that exfoliation can increase sensitivity and we recommend slowly adding in exfoliation into your skincare routine when using your personalized Revive-skinclinic.com formula. This is to avoid overly sensitizing the skin and damaging your skin barrier. Once your skin is used to your personalized formula, start off by only applying your exfoliator in the AM routine to see how your skin reacts. AHAs and BHAs should be used on different days to your personalized formula but can be used on the same day depending on your skin tolerability. AHAs include Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid and are gentler options in comparison to Glycolic Acid depending on the strength. If you choose to use AHAs on the same day as your treatment, we recommend using them at a different time of the day from your retinoids. 05/09/2024
