They do say a picture says a thousand words, and this picture from last July speaks volumes.

Just got sent this over from a customer, and it’s been a year since we re-opened our doors. What a crazy year it’s been! This picture has brought back loads of memories from the last year, good and bad. They do say the tough times only make you stronger. It was only 3 weeks before this photo that a minibus was parked in our shop front, and a day before our reopening that our new windows were fitted 🤦🏽 One thing is for sure is that we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for everyone who has walked through our doors in the last year, and for all the support and patience that all of our customers have given us. For your custom, patience & loyalty over the last 12 months to our business we’ll always be grateful and cannot thank you all enough.

We had another two lockdown closures after our re-opening last year, and a number of rules and procedures to follow to try and play our part in protecting ourselves and everyone who walks through our doors. We feel we’ve dealt with every curveball thrown our way, and hopefully you’ve all felt that we’ve done everything possible to provide you the service you deserve while providing the safest possible environment.

Anyway, thanks for your loyalty, custom, support, queuing in the rain, and for helping us all to earn a living at what we all do best. We’re back running in full swing now, and back to full strength. We hope that all other small businesses out their can say the same, and to those that aren’t we hope that you’re back with a vengeance in no time! Keep at it!!

We still get asked what the script is with regards coming in the shop for a haircut at the moment, so thought we’d highlight a few of the main points for you all. As always just drop any of us a message if you need us for anything.
•
Most people seem to have had their first haircut now since our re-opening, so the waiting times are minimal, this applies to the weekend as well as the weekdays. All of our Barbers work Friday & Saturdays, so with no queues anymore these can be good days to get in the shop! 👍🏼
•
Prices are as usual, and we’re still happy to provide masks 😷
•
We’re still doing everything we can to be Covid safe, but as everything seems positive and seems to be going to plan then hopefully restrictions will be lifted from June 21st. This would hopefully mean customers and ourselves will be mask free, and social distancing will no longer apply.

Massive thanks to everyone since we’ve reopened for all the custom and support, it’s been a weird 12 months to be a Barber, so it’s been mega seeing you all over the last few weeks and we’ve appreciated seeing each and every single one of you 👏🏼

The madness and queues are over now and think most of you have had your first trim with us since we’ve been back at it, hopefully by the end of June we’ll all be able to bin our masks and get back to full normality.

5 weeks to go... ⏰ ⏰ ⏰

So happy for the next generation that they have all started back at school & college, they’ve missed out on so much learning already and it’s about time they got their cogs turning again!! 🧠 No doubt that most will be more happy to just see their mates again! Can’t even imagine how hard it has been for them all at their age missing out on so much school and time with their friends.

In the meantime, businesses like ourselves remain closed. Shutters down and still counting the days. So we ask for our sake, and all small businesses and industries in the same position as us, please follow the rules and help us to get our shutters back up on April 12th 🙏🏼 Hold off on haircuts off dodgey mobile barbers, resist the temptation to have a cheeky house party this weekend, wear a mask, sanitise your hands, and help us get back open!

6 weeks and counting until we are allowed to re-open, and it definitely can’t come soon enough. It’s been a massively frustrating 12 months for all the lads and the barbering industry as a whole, and we’re counting the days until we can open our doors again to you all and get back doing what we all know and love. Thanks for all the support over the last year, and your custom and support will be massively appreciated from April 12th onwards.
