The age old debate… to tox or not to tox 😂💉🧓🏾

I love seeing faces move. I also sometimes want my forehead to… not 😂 And photos like number 7 are doing me dirrrrty!

I know skin, and I’ll happily keep trying my best to keep mine looking its best. I love my microcurrent machine and all the non-injectable bits I can throw at it 😂 But I’ll also happily admit I don’t know enough about injectables.

I’ve had Botox before, so I’m not in the “never ever” camp… I’m more in the do I go again, or see what I can do without it? camp.

I DO know what I’m like though… “maybe a tiny bit of Botox?” quickly becomes eyes, cheeks, chin, another brace… WHAT AM I DOING 😂🤪

Anyway, here’s my holiday post disguised as content hahah ✨🫶🏼☀️✈️

Back in the salon now and yes I had posted this and deleted and debated for so long that we are back 🤣❤️

But actually, it’s an Emily appreciation post 🥹🫶🏼

I kept it pretty quiet (because it wasn’t a big deal!) but this week I had a small op on my back which turned out to have a little more involved than I’d expected. Suddenly being told I should take two weeks off when you’re self-employed is… mildly terrifying 😂

And somehow, at exactly the right time, Emily arrived ✨

She’s stepped straight in, looked after three of my clients today and taken so much pressure off me when I really needed it😅

I’m also SO grateful to every client who has moved things around, trusted Emily with their appointments, checked in on me or simply told me to stop worrying and get better 😂

What could have been a really stressful week has made me realise just how bloody lovely and so is not doing everything on my own anymore

A little reminder before your next lift or lami 👀✨

A few little things that can make a BIG difference to your appointment/results:

✨ Retinol, acids & exfoliating skincare — pause around the brow area for a minimum of 48 hours beforehand. Using something stronger or not sure what counts? Just ask me!

✨ Come makeup-free where possible — especially mascara for lash lifts and brow products for laminations.

✨ Water, steam & sweaty workouts — all worth thinking about during your initial aftercare. Yes, your boiling hot shower counts 😂

✨ Sleeping — try not to spend the first night with your freshly laminated brows/lashes squashed into your pillow.

✨ Aftercare doesn’t stop there — once your initial aftercare is over, brushing and conditioning those hairs helps keep them looking their best 🫶🏼

And pleaseeee tell me if you’ve had any recent eye irritation, styes, reactions or changes to your skincare/medication before your appointment. I’d always rather you ask than wonder whether it matters!

Partner to Luke, mummy to our gorgeous little boy Elliott, and a nail tech with over 8 years in the beauty industry 💅🏼

Along the way I’ve also trained in lashes, brows and waxing but, although I love the variation, I’m definitely still a nail girly through and through.

I love it all….a classic plain nail, a French or the craziest nail art you can find. I am a chronic perfectionist though 😂 so if I suddenly go very quiet while I’m painting tiny details, I’m probably reminding myself to breathe and questioning every life decision that led me to that particular design 🤣

A gorgeous month filled with birthday celebrations, sleepovers, family, friends, day trips and a little bit of work squeezed in between it all…

I always find the end of August a funny one. I’m ready for routine and excited for what’s coming, but also wondering how another summer disappeared quite so quickly ✨

August was actually bloody busy at Be You, I just apparently took absolutely no photographic evidence of it 😂

And somehow we’re heading into the last four months of the year?! September–December are always some of my busiest, so consider this your little nudge to get those appointments in the diary 🫶
