Being willing to bend your clients legs, to turn their leg on the side, to dangle it off the bed or even raise it in the air will all lead to better access to key muscle groups.

My QL is always my problem muscle. When I used to mark level 3 body massage it wasn’t even on the anatomy map 😵

Ignore that my model has clothes on, you can do this with towels and drapes in a normal massage.

Don’t underestimate how useful side lying massage is for:

- shoulders and traps
- QL
- ITB band and quads/glutes/ piriformis

I think there needs to be more side lying!!

Spend the day teaching continually telling therapist to stop putting so much oil on as it makes assisted stretch impossible as you are just ice skating and slipping off the skin… seemed a very relevant point to make today!!
