Want to know what makes me irrationally happy? 😂
A CRISP free edge. Perfectly polished skin. Colour sitting so close it looks like it’s grown out of the cuticle. I don’t want to produce “nice” nails I want them to look EXPENSIVE.
And usually it’s the tiniest details that make the biggest difference 👀

You know when you watch someone work and think… okay but HOW are they getting it that clean? 👀 (especially when they start with battered nails like my mum)
That’s exactly why I started making more content like this.
Because the tiny details that you’re tempted to skip? They’re usually the difference between work that looks fine and work that looks EXPENSIVE!!!!
And once you actually understand why you’re doing each step, rather than just copying what you’ve seen someone else do on insta… everything starts to click.

Apparently we’re supposed to want success… just not too much of it 👀
I want the money. I want the freedom. I want the recognition. And I want to build something f*cking huge.

There’s doing nails… and then there’s making them look expensive 👀
And no, I don’t mean using the most expensive products.
It’s the tiny details. The prep. The structure. The shape. How close and clean that colour application is. The bits your client probably couldn’t name but they can absolutely see the difference!!!
That polished, expensive looking finish isn’t luck. It’s technique. And once you know what you’re looking for, you can’t unsee it 🤌🏼

Let’s talk about a clean pocket because THIS is where a polished manicure actually starts.
It baffles me how many nail techs are skipping this step in their prep routine because it’s arguably THE most important and effective way to completely transform your clients retention and just overall the quality of the set.
That skin that’s left over when you don’t properly prep the pocket, guess what’s gunna happen- lifting.
That “colour tucking” that you see all over your feed for the glossiest freshest looking mani you’ve ever seen?!? Yeah you’re not getting that without a clean pocket.
How can we expect to see a clean polished end result when your canvas was never ready to actually work on?
Would you paint a pretty picture on a dirty canvas? I think not 👀
Your prep is EVERYTHINGGGG and I’ll die on that hill 😌
