POV: You run your own business and there’s no such thing as “office hours” 😂💻

Sunday night. Comfy clothes on. Bath running upstairs… and somehow the laptop has made its way onto the bed.

Because running a business rarely looks like 9–5, Monday–Friday.

Sometimes it’s answering emails over breakfast.
Sometimes it’s having an idea at 10pm and needing to write it down.

Sometimes it’s designing packaging between clients.

And sometimes it’s a Sunday night, waiting for your bath to run, thinking “I’ll just do this one little thing…” 😅

There are so many hours behind a small business that nobody ever sees — planning, creating, researching, problem-solving, changing your mind, starting again and constantly thinking about what comes next.

But this is also one of the things I love about it.
I can work when inspiration strikes. I can build something that's mine. And every one of these little behind-the-scenes moments is another tiny step towards where I want ah-mee:skin to be. 🤍

Tonight’s little job? Working on the next chapter of ah-mee:skin. ✨

Now... I really should get in that bath. 😂🛁

Success in business isn't always measured by the hourly rate or the money in your bank account.

So much of running a business happens behind the scenes. The late nights, endless research, problem-solving, redesigns, self-doubt, learning new skills, and making difficult decisions... hours that nobody sees and nobody pays you for.

Running a business is just as stressful as it is rewarding. Sometimes you work for months before you see any financial return. It takes determination, resilience, and pure grit to keep showing up every single day, believing that all the hard work will be worth it.

This photo is a reminder of just how much work has gone into the evolution of my brand. Countless hours have been spent refining every detail, changing designs, starting over, and striving to create something I'm truly proud of, and i wanted to share that with you all.

The products may be what you see, but the journey behind them is built on passion, persistence, and a refusal to give up.

Today, I'm celebrating the progress. The branding isn't just a design—it's the result of months of hard work, and finishing it feels like an achievement in itself. 🤍✨

What they don't see are the late nights, the early mornings, the setbacks, the self-doubt, the tears, the endless learning, the risks, and the thousands of little decisions that happen behind the scenes.

They don't see the orders packed at midnight, the weekends spent designing labels, the products that never made it to launch, or the sacrifices made to keep believing in a dream.

Hi, I'm the face behind ah-mee:skin Natural Skincare. 🤍

Four years ago, after losing my beautiful mam to cancer in 2018, I decided to create something that would honour her memory and carry a little piece of her with me every single day.

That's how ah-mee:skin was born.

My mission has always been simple: to create natural, gentle, yet powerful skincare that delivers real, results-driven care for every skin type. I truly believe skincare should be effective without compromising on kindness—to your skin or the ingredients inside.

My love for skincare, haircare and makeup started long before the brand. I spent 10 wonderful years as a wedding makeup artist, helping people feel confident and beautiful on some of the most important days of their lives. That passion naturally evolved into creating products that help people feel just as confident in their own skin every day.

Over the last four years, I've been incredibly proud to watch the ah-mee:skin collections continue to grow. Every product has been created with love, purpose and the hope that it helps someone feel a little more confident in their skin.

You may not have heard of ah-mee:skin before—and that's okay. Every well-loved brand started with someone discovering it for the very first time. I hope this is the beginning of your journey with us, and who knows... you might just fall in love with it. ✨
