Some interesting examples currently on the market include:

BIOEFFECT EGF Serum
Known for its biotechnology-produced, plant-derived recombinant EGF technology.
(One of the more researched EGF cosmetics, using biotechnology-produced barley EGF. Published human data suggest improvements in parameters associated with skin ageing, although the evidence base remains much smaller than that for established actives such as retinoids.)

NEOCUTIS BIO SERUM FIRM
Combines growth-factor technology with peptides and other age-supporting ingredients.
(Built around a growth-factor technology with published clinical research behind the wider NEOCUTIS/PSP platform. The evidence is interesting, although some published studies investigate related PSP formulations rather than the exact current serum.)

ZO Skin Health Growth Factor Serum
An interesting professional skincare formulation combining growth-factor-related technology with supporting actives.
(One of the more interesting products in this category because published clinical research has reported both visible improvement and changes consistent with epidermal and dermal restructuring. However, the published study was sponsored by ZO Skin Health, which should be considered when interpreting the results.)

The Ordinary GF 15% Solution
A much more accessible entry into the growth-factor category — and an interesting comparison with premium formulations.
(An affordable and scientifically interesting formulation combining EGF-, IGF- and TGF-related biotechnology. The brand reports clinical testing, but I could not identify a peer-reviewed published clinical trial of the finished product, so its evidence base currently isn’t comparable with some of the more established growth-factor technologies.)

“Clinically tested” and “supported by published research” are NOT the same thing.

Red light therapy is one of the few skincare technologies with a growing body of clinical evidence—but the details matter.

Most studies showing improvements in collagen, wrinkles and skin quality use carefully controlled wavelengths, irradiance and treatment protocols. That doesn’t mean every LED mask will produce the same results.

Before investing, look for transparency:
• Published wavelength(s)
• Irradiance (not just wattage)
• Treatment recommendations based on clinical evidence
• Ideally, studies performed using that exact device
