Turns out my answer was never just one thing 🤍
Being their mam will always come first.
But building something of my own, doing a job I genuinely love and creating a business that could fit around my family has become a pretty big part of me too.
I started lashes at 28 with a new baby and absolutely no idea where it would take me.
And somehow, all these years later, these are still the things that make me happiest. 🥹🤍
Family. Freedom. And something that’s mine.
I’ve definitely overcomplicated content in the past 🙃
Feeling like every post needs to be different, every Reel needs to be clever and if you’re not posting constantly you’re somehow falling behind.
When really, your content just needs to help the right people understand who you are, what you do and why they should trust you.
I’m trying to make this side of running a lash business feel a LOT simpler 🤍

Sometimes the difficult part of running a lash business isn’t doing the lashes.
It’s saying, “That’s outside my working hours.”
Or giving your price without immediately offering a discount.
Or sticking to the policy you already explained.
Being understanding matters. So does being clear about what you can realistically offer.
You can make an exception when you choose to. But if the same exception keeps happening, it might be time for a clearer boundary—or a policy that better reflects how you want to work.
Clients deserve clear expectations. You deserve a business you can sustain.
Save this for the next time you feel pressured to say yes.
I charged £10 for my first five lash sets—and I don’t regret it.
When I first qualified, I knew I wasn’t producing the same standard of work that I can produce today.
I needed real practice.
I also understood why someone might not want to pay £60 for a beginner set when they could book an experienced technician for a similar price.
So I created a controlled introductory offer.
Five clients.
£10 per set.
A clear purpose.
A clear end date.
Those appointments gave me the opportunity to practise, identify my weaknesses and improve my confidence.
As my work improved, my prices increased.
This is very different from permanently discounting your services because you’re frightened nobody will book.
Introductory pricing can be a useful strategy when it has:
• A limited number of appointments
• A defined end date
• A genuine development goal
• A plan for increasing your price
• A strong client experience behind it
The problem isn’t always starting at a lower price.
The problem is staying there without knowing how—or when—to move forward.
