When considering which exercises to prescribe to your workout plan for your Pull exercises, ask yourself.......
Which muscles?
Back and Biceps
Which exercises?
Vertical Pull:
Pullups (or assisted pullups)
Lat pull-down variations
Horizontal pull:
Row variations - Seated row, Half kneeling rows, Inverted rows, single arm bench rows
Biceps curls:
Dumbbell hammer curl (seated or standing)
Corkscrew dumbbell curls
EZ Bar curl (more neutral wrist position)
Reverse grip curls (more forearm activation)
"W" dumbbell curls
These are just a few exercise ideas you can choose from to develop your programme.
Have fun trying any exercises on there that are completely new to you.

Things to consider when programming Push exercises to your exercise plan.
Which muscles?
Shoulders
Chest
Triceps
Which exercises?
Chest:
Dumbbell flat/incline/decline bench chest press
Dumbbell flat/incline/decline bench chest fly
Pushups variations
Cable standing chest fly
Seated chest press machine
Dumbbell crush press (narrow grip)
Shoulders:
Dumbbell/Barbell military press
Dumbbell lateral raises
Dumbbell front raises
Cable facepulls
Dumbbell/Barbell upright rows
Dumbbell/Barbell shrugs
Triceps:
Cable pushdown (varied grips)
Triceps dips
Triceps kickbacks
Skull crushers
How many exercises per programme?:
I like to choose 1 x chest exercise, 1 x shoulder exercise and per programme if I'm doing a full body workout and leave triceps work til the end (alongside Biceps) as a supplementary routine.
It just depends on the individual so don't go too much too soon if you don't feel confident
These are a select few exercises you can Pick & Mix with when choosing Push related exercises for your programming.
There is no "one size fits all" way of programming so work with minimal exercises per routine of you're unsure of how much you're capable of doing early on.
You can always increase intensity and volume as you get stronger and more confident.
Mixing up Unilateral and Bilateral movement will keep it interesting and a great way to identify imbalances when switching to single arm variations.
If there are exercises on there that you aren't familiar with then have fun trying them out. Always good to have a larger arsenal of exercises within your plan.
Enjoy trying them out.ðŠ

Good, solid structuring with your workouts is vital to ensure progress is being made.
Are you currently including all of the fundamental, functional movements to your day to day workouts?
If the answer is no, then this should break it down into a more digestible form so you understand what is required to create an effective programme.
Push
Pull
Lunge
Hinge
Squat
Carry
If you're including these into your routines then you're already onto a winning formula.
If not then this is something for you to consider and digest.
Over the coming days we will break down what each movement is and what exercises can be used to help guide you and empower you to better programme your sessions.
ðââïļðââïļ2 Personal Trainer lead Group Training sessions:ðââïļðââïļ
Hi guys.
Rob & Leanne here.
We are generating some potential interest in small group training that will be lead by 2 skilled coaches in the very near future.
Groups will be ran at a 6 member capacity (3 members per coach) to ensure eyes are firmly on the customers to ensure correct form and exercises are being demonstrated safely.
We are in the early stages of developing the programme but wanted to test the water with people to see who out there would be interested in some group training focusing on Movement and Mindset.
We'd love to hear from you and are asking for anybody interested to drop us a line via the page or dropping us an email at [email protected] or by simply commenting on the post.
We'd also love to have an idea on what times people would ideally like group sessions to be ran, whether you're an early bird 6am warrior or if you prefer sessions after work / evenings.
We'd also be interested to know those of you who are flexible on time if you work from home so we know whether there's an interest for late morning or afternoon groups.
Thanks in advance and we look forward to hearing from you lovely lot very soon.
