Wow what a whirlwind weekend!! Leaving my job of 22 years on Friday afternoon wasn’t going too bad until I had to pick up my bag, say goodbye (not totally rid of me though I’m just retiring not dying) and squeeze Paula one last time as my employer but forever my friend!! I left my cards and presents unopened until later that evening when I was sat with a drink in hand in a beautiful static caravan at my childhood holiday place, Eyemouth. I cannot thank people enough, as many of you know, I’m not one hung up on material things, it’s the memories that make my heart beat!! I do of course appreciate every gift I unwrapped, you guys are so generous and thoughtful but what I am most grateful for are all the lovely lovely cards and thoughtful words from you all, many many happy memories of my time at Green Ginger but most of all the absolute sincerity in the well wishes for my future with Andrew and our new little people!! To be so well thought of and read so many heartfelt words of congratulations is overwhelming, if I can have the next 22 years caring for children as happy as the past 22 have been then I’ll be a very very lucky man!! Thank you to everyone at Green Ginger, Rusti, Chris, Caprice, Joan, Sophie, Emily and all the clients who’ve kept me in a job this long, I love and will miss you all ❤️❤️❤️
