The face behind the nail art, lash lifts, endless coffee, and the little countryside salon I once only dreamed of.
Before beauty, there was art.
As a little girl, my poor mum would lose me every time we went shopping... not because I'd wandered off to the toy aisle, but because I'd disappeared into the stationery aisle.
Sketchbooks. Coloured pencils. Paint pens. Anything creative.
That little girl never really went away. She just swapped sketchbooks for tiny nail brushes.
What surprises people most is that alongside my love of creativity sits an equally huge love for science.
A little shout-out to my Year 8 science teacher, who completely changed the way I saw it. They showed me science wasn't just something to memorise—it was fascinating. It answered why things worked, and I was hooked.
That curiosity has never left me.
Art captured my imagination, but science taught me to ask why. Beauty lets me bring the two together every single day.
Anatomy. Skin. Chemistry. Product formulations... I love understanding the science behind every treatment.
I could probably wallpaper the salon with the certificates I've collected over the last 5½ years. Not because I think I know everything, but because I know there's always more to learn.
Tailored Beauty wasn't created because I wanted to paint pretty nails.
It was created because I remembered what it felt like not to belong in busy high street salons.
I wished for somewhere quieter. Somewhere slower. Somewhere I could simply be.
So I created the place my younger self would've felt safe walking into.
A private countryside salon where appointments aren't rushed, conversations can be as deep or as quiet as you'd like, and beauty helps you feel more like yourself.
Because this little business has never just been about treatments.
It's about creating a space where people feel seen.
Where creativity meets education.
Where science meets artistry.
Where you can simply exhale.

Some people see nail art...

I see the teacher who finally took an hour for herself after spending all week looking after everyone else.
I see the new mum who hadn't felt like herself in months until she looked down and smiled at her hands again.
I see the woman celebrating a promotion, a birthday, an engagement… or simply making it through a really hard week.
Five years ago, I didn't build Tailored Beauty because I wanted to paint pretty nails.
I built it because I wanted to create a little corner of calm.
A place where the kettle is always on, conversations are never rushed, and for a little while, the outside world can wait.
Every set of nails tells a story, but the most important part has never been the design.
It's always been the person sitting across from me.
Thank you to every client who has trusted me with your stories, your milestones, your quiet moments, and your time. You've helped shape Tailored Beauty into so much more than a salon.

A gentle new season is arriving at Tailored Beauty... 🌿🤍

Time has a funny way of slipping through your fingers.
It feels like only yesterday I was announcing that I was taking a little maternity leave, and now my tiny sidekick is getting ready to start preschool. Watching her grow has been the greatest adventure, and this next chapter means a little reshaping of my working week too.

From August, you'll find me in the salon:
☁️ Mondays – Full day & evening appointments
☁️ Wednesdays – Full day & evening appointments
☁️ Fridays – Daytime appointments
☁️ Saturdays – Staying just as they are, with my usual rota of working two Saturdays, then one Saturday off.

One of the things I'm most excited about is finally opening my diary on Fridays. It's something so many of you have asked for over the years, and I'm so happy I can finally make it happen.

If you have a Thursday appointment booked from August onwards, please don't worry. I'll be in touch personally to help you find a new appointment that fits beautifully into your routine.

Running this little countryside salon has always been about creating more than just beautiful nails, brows and lashes. It's about carving out a pocket of calm in the middle of busy lives. A place where the kettle is on, the world slows down for a little while, and you leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived.
Thank you for allowing me to keep growing this little dream alongside my family. Your support means I get to do the work I love whilst being there for the moments I'll never get back, and that's something I'll always be grateful for.

A hybrid set is a blend of classic lashes and handmade fans, giving you the best of both worlds.

One thing I always tell clients is that the "best" lash set isn't the fullest one, it's the one that's tailored to your eye shape, natural lashes and lifestyle. That's how we create lashes that look beautiful and stay healthy.

I will never not be completely obsessed with korean lash lift results and these are no different! When you finally find a product that just clicks, works for both you and your clients results its truly a match made in heaven. these before and after photos speak for themselves!

What sets korean lash lifts apart from normal lashes is the technique used means you can process the whole lash, allowing for better grow out ( most clients going 8-10 weeks between appointments) but a more even lift . The products used are also different to a traditional lift, focusing on healthy nourished lashes.

If you've had a failed lift previously, or just felt like you have wanted more from your lash lift let this be your sign to try the korean method 🤍

Playing with texture and colour to create a set brings me so much joy, but what brings even more joy is the look on my clients face when the set is finished.
