It’s exciting times for Allure Hairdressing! Lucy has decided to move onto a new salon (good luck with your new venture! 😘) So from now on the salon will be focussing purely on hairdressing!

I’m busy getting the salon ready to reopen in July, I can’t wait to see you all! In the meantime, I am going to merge this page with the Allure page so that all enquiries just go through one! We have some exciting news in these strange times!

As some of you will know Lucy has decided to move on to a new salon. Congratulations on the new adventure!

But for us this means that we are starting a very exciting new chapter! We are VERY busy behind the scenes making improvements to the salon and learning new techniques (including more on that in the coming days!) We’ve also has a slight rebrand because from now on we will only be focusing on and

Following the comments from Dominic Raab this morning, we don’t expect to be open until 4th July at the earliest. I have already got a waiting list and will start organising this into appointments.

For those who had an appointment cancelled during the time we’ve been closed, you will be booked in first, in the order that you were cancelled. I will then start working through my waiting list and will add people in the order that they asked to be on to the waiting list. So if you have not yet been in touch about booking an appointment, please do.

Please bear in mind that we will be operating at a lower capacity than before lockdown, so we appreciate your patience while we run the salon as safely as possible. You must attend the appointment by yourself and please bring a face mask.

I have also been busy completed these online courses to ensure my health and safety knowledge is completely up to date and relevant for these weird times!

I’m making sure we’re ready to go as soon as we’re given the green light.....! Xx

We’re preparing for a return to work (when the government allows it!) and thinking about how the salon will operate post lockdown!

A couple of things we’re looking at:

Increased PPE
- Disposable towels
- Pre packaged gowns
- Face masks & gloves for staff & clients

Plus disposable cups and mugs as well as sachets of sugar.

Of course we will look to source recyclable products where possible so that we can ensure to be as safe as we can for our clients while also being environmentally friendly.

We’re looking at having a single client policy in the salon so we only have 1 client in the salon at a time (1 hair and 1 beauty) and scheduling so that there is no crossover between clients.

We’re also looking at doing video consultations to maximise the time each client has in the chair for their hair appointment.

There may also be some other changes we need to make including:

- Different brushes for each client
- Different entrances for hair and beauty clients to avoid accidental crossovers.

Some of these changes may be more permanent than others, but we want to ensure that we are as prepared as possible for when we are given the green light!

We are aware that there has been recent press around when hairdressers and beauty salons are expected to reopen, however please do not believe everything you read as this is only speculation. We are following advice from the National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF) and will continue to monitor their advice closely.
