🌿 September at Forest Acupuncture
This month I’ve been supporting people with a really varied mix of health concerns and life circumstances:
✨ Support during and after chemotherapy and cancer treatment
✨ Bereavement
✨ ADHD
✨ PTSD
✨ Back, neck, shoulder and knee pain
✨ Post-surgery recovery
✨ Plantar fasciitis
✨ Migraine
✨ Burnout
✨ Anxiety
✨ Perimenopause symptoms
✨ Endometriosis
✨ Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME
✨ Sleep problems
Some people come with one main concern, while others have several things going on at once.
Every treatment starts with a chat about how you’re feeling and what’s been happening, before creating a treatment tailored to you.
Acupuncture can be used alongside your usual medical care and other support.
If there’s something you’ve been struggling with and you’re wondering whether acupuncture might be able to help, get in touch.

🌿 What actually happens when you come for acupuncture?
If you’ve never had acupuncture before, you might be wondering what the appointment is actually like.
When you arrive, we’ll have a chat about your health, what’s been going on and what you’d like some support with.
Then you’ll get comfortable on the treatment couch while I put together a treatment tailored to you.
The acupuncture needles are gently placed and, depending on what’s appropriate, I may also use moxibustion, cupping, gua sha or my infrared heat lamp.
And then you can simply lie back and relax. 🌿
The needles stay in while you have some quiet time to yourself. The treatment room is warm and comfortable, with a heated couch, blankets, gentle music, low lighting and infrared heat to keep you cosy.
You don’t need to know what you need before you come — that’s what I’m here for.
✨ Initial acupuncture appointment — £95 | 90 minutes
✨ Follow-up acupuncture — £55 | 45 minutes
✨ Facial Acupuncture Ritual — £95 | 90 minutes
💬 If you’ve been thinking about trying acupuncture, message me to book. Or, if you’d like to chat first, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation.

🌿 Feeling burnt out? Acupuncture may be able to help.
Burnout can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and like you’re constantly running on empty.
It can affect much more than your energy levels, with things like:
✨ Poor sleep
✨ Anxiety and stress
✨ Headaches and tension
✨ Digestive problems
✨ Feeling wired but exhausted
✨ Difficulty switching off
✨ Low mood and motivation
Acupuncture takes a holistic approach, looking at how these things can be connected rather than treating each symptom separately.
Treatment can help you slow down, switch off and support your body when you’ve been under prolonged stress. Many people also find acupuncture helpful for improving sleep, easing tension and supporting their overall wellbeing.
It can be used alongside other support and your usual healthcare.
You don’t have to wait until you’re completely exhausted to ask for help.

🌿 What I’ve been supporting people with over the last few weeks
No two acupuncture appointments are the same, and recently I’ve been supporting people with a really varied mix of symptoms and health concerns.
✨ Insomnia and poor sleep
✨ IBS and digestive symptoms
✨ Stress and anxiety
✨ Bereavement
✨ Chronic fatigue syndrome
✨ Endometriosis
✨ Migraines
✨ Plantar fasciitis
✨ Fertility issues
✨ Back pain
✨ Perimenopause
Some people come with one main concern, while others are dealing with several things at once.
I take a holistic approach, looking at the individual rather than simply treating a symptom in isolation. Every treatment is tailored to what you need support with at that particular time.
Acupuncture can also be used alongside your usual healthcare and medical treatment.

🌿 Acupuncture isn’t just about needles.
As well as acupuncture, I also use cupping and gua sha as part of treatments where appropriate.
✨ Cupping
Cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction. It can be particularly useful for areas of muscular tension, tightness and discomfort, and can help encourage circulation to the area.
✨ Gua sha
A smooth tool is used to gently massage and scrape the skin. It can be used on areas of tension and stiffness, and I also use it as part of my Facial Acupuncture Ritual.
Both techniques can be used alongside acupuncture, depending on what you need on the day.
Your treatment isn’t a set routine — I tailor it to you, your symptoms and how you’re feeling when you come in.

You don’t have to be unwell to have acupuncture. 🌿
You don’t need a particular health problem or something that needs fixing.
Sometimes you just want to slow down, switch off and have some time for yourself.
At Forest Acupuncture, your treatment can be a chance to properly relax, with a comfortable couch, fluffy blankets, low lighting, gentle music and aromatherapy oils ☺️
When the weather is a bit colder you can also enjoy an infrared heat lamp gently warming your feet plus the couch is heated too 🔥
You can come simply because you enjoy how acupuncture makes you feel — and make regular treatments part of your wellbeing routine.

Living with a long-term health condition can be exhausting. 🌿
Acupuncture can be used alongside your usual medical care to support you through different stages of a chronic condition.
It may help you manage symptoms such as pain, tension, headaches, poor sleep, stress and fatigue, helping you feel more able to cope day to day.
It can also provide supportive care while you’re waiting for surgery, when you’re dealing with ongoing symptoms and long waiting times.
And after surgery, acupuncture can be part of your recovery and help support your overall wellbeing as your body heals.
It isn’t about replacing medical treatment or surgery — it’s about having another form of support alongside it.
✨ Every treatment is tailored to you and where you are in your health journey.

Feeling a bit wiped out after all that heat? ☀️🌿
Weeks of hot weather can leave us feeling more tired, dehydrated, restless and generally a bit out of sorts.
If you’re also dealing with poor sleep, headaches, tension, low energy, digestive issues or feeling stressed and overwhelmed, acupuncture can be a lovely way to support your body and help you feel more balanced again.
And it isn’t just about the heat. I see people for all sorts of things, including:
✨ Pain and tension
✨ Migraines & headaches
✨ Anxiety & low mood
✨ Sleep problems
✨ Hormonal changes
✨ Digestive issues
✨ Low energy & fatigue
Every treatment is tailored to you and the bigger picture.

How are you, really? 🌿
Life can be busy, and it’s easy to put your own health to one side.
Whether you’re looking for support with pain, migraines, anxiety, low mood, poor sleep, stress, low energy or hormonal changes, acupuncture takes a holistic approach, treating you as a whole person rather than focusing on just one symptom.
Every treatment is tailored to you and your individual needs, giving you time to pause, recharge and support your wellbeing.
