What a beautiful young lady. ๐Ÿค
I'm so glad she's recognised that she never needed to chase perfection.
As aesthetic practitioners, we have a duty of care to our clients. Sometimes the best treatment we can offer isn't another syringe, it's the confidence to say "no."
We should be enhancing someone's natural beauty, not feeding insecurities or unrealistic expectations. Ethical aesthetics isn't about doing every treatment someone asks for. It's about listening, assessing, educating and recommending what's genuinely in their best interests.
Sometimes the most professional decision a practitioner can make is to put the syringe down ๐Ÿค

This is Jess. She says she barely recognises herself in old photographs after a Love Island-inspired transformation ๐Ÿ˜”

But after spending an estimated ยฃ8,000 on the work, she isn't happy with the result.

When Jess Pendrey booked her first lip filler appointment at 18, it would go on to become the start of an obsession with cosmetic procedures.

In just three years, the bartender also had chin filler, jaw filler, cheek filler, nose filler, masseter Botox, composite bonding in Turkey, a ยฃ4,500 breast augmentation and non-surgical body contouring treatments ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Jess spent thousands of pounds on an endless pursuit of the next treatment she believed would make her happier.
Rather than boosting her confidence, Jess says each procedure simply fuelled the desire for another and it became a vicious cycle.

Working as a waitress at the time, Jess says virtually every spare penny she earned went towards funding her next appointment ๐Ÿ’”

Now 21, Jess is preparing to embrace a more natural look.

She has issued a heartbreaking warning to others after becoming addicted to cosmetic treatment.

Such an important message to spread, we hope you will be happy going back to your natural look Jess โค๏ธ

Choose an injector who enhances your features, not the latest trends.
Beauty trends constantly change, but natural beauty never goes out of style.
Over the years, our perception of what looks "beautiful" evolves. Features that once felt desirable can become dated, while softer, more balanced results stand the test of time.
That's because our brains adapt. We become familiar with trends, and eventually start to see them differently.
My approach has always been to enhance what's already there, not change who you are. The best aesthetic treatments don't make people wonder what you've had done. They simply make you look refreshed, balanced, and like the best version of yourself.
Beauty isn't about chasing every trend. It's about respecting your natural features, creating harmony, and achieving results that you'll still love years from now. ๐Ÿค

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending a brunch where I met some incredible women from the aesthetics industry. This was at the beginning of this year, from the Herstory Conference๐Ÿค

Since attending the conference, I've been lucky enough to stay connected with these amazing women, and I'm so grateful for it. This brunch wasn't about work or social media. It was about getting to know the people behind the brands. We shared stories, laughed together, shared some vulnerable experiences and connected on a much deeper level than aesthetics.

Running my clinic on my own is something I'm incredibly proud of, and I genuinely enjoy my own company. But if you work for yourself, you'll know that it can sometimes feel a little lonely and isolating. Having a group of women who understand the highs, the challenges, and everything in between means more than I can put into words.

It's amazing that one decision to invest in myself and my business and having by the courage to attend the conference on my own, has led to friendships I never expected. We started as strangers, and now we have a very active WhatsApp group, constantly supporting each other in and out of business, cheering each other on, and already planning our next meet up!!!๐Ÿค

A huge thank you to Louise Lennox Aesthetics | Manchester, Dublin and ๐๐„๐‘๐…๐„๐‚๐“๐Ž ๐€๐„๐’๐“๐‡๐„๐“๐ˆ๐‚๐’ for organising such a beautiful afternoon, and to Ashley Aesthetics Adviser for the lovely goodie bags. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and reminded of how powerful it is when women support women. โœจ๐Ÿค
