Iconic nails by Shania

My FIRST EVER BRIDE and I’m honestly so proud of these 🥹🤍💅🏼

BUT… after the stress of those 3D flowers, I’m officially BANNING 3D DESIGNS IN MY SALON 😭😂😂

Never again… until the next person asks for them 😅💀

When I say this is EXACTLY how my head felt in the salon today… I’m not even joking 😭😂

FIRST EVER BRIDE 💍🤍 and I was in PANIC MODE 😭💅🏼
Trying to make sure everything was perfect, overthinking every tiny detail, making sure I had everything I needed, whilst still trying to run the salon and keep up with everything else 😂

The excitement was REAL, but so was the stress 😭😂

My first ever bride… what an experience! 🥹🤍💍
So grateful I got trusted with such a special set for such a special day. 🥹💅🏼

Stress levels: 1000%
Excitement levels: 1000%
Did I survive? JUST ABOUT 😂😭

SOMETIMES, A BUSINESS INTRODUCES ITSELF.

Not with a huge advert.

Not with a massive following.

Not with someone telling you how good they are.

Sometimes...

their customers do it for them.

We kept coming across the same name.

Shania.

Then came another recommendation.

And another.

People talking about feeling comfortable.

People mentioning how welcoming the salon was.

People talking about the attention to detail.

People saying they would be coming back.

One person even said they had the honour of being one of Shania’s first models.

Another talked about watching her build her career.

And somewhere between all those comments, there was a story beginning to appear.

A local business.

A growing journey.

And a group of people who were happy to put their own name behind a recommendation.

That is the kind of thing that makes us stop scrolling.

Because behind every independent business is a moment when someone decides:

“I’ll give them a try.”

And behind the businesses that start to grow...

are the customers who say:

“You should try them too.”

So this week, we are shining the Wales Business Spotlight on:

💅 Iconic nails by Shania
📍 Pontypool

A local nail business building something of its own, one appointment, one customer and one recommendation at a time.

And honestly...

that is how a lot of great local businesses begin.

So we are curious.

What is the local business you discovered because someone simply said, “Go and try them”?

Tell us their name below.

You might just help us discover our next Wales Business Spotlight.

Guys, I’m actually so s**t at being a nail tech 😭😂

I either forget to take pictures of my work…
OR I take the pictures and then forget to post them…
OR I remember to post them 3 business days later like “here’s some nails I did” 😭💀

At this point I need someone following me around with a camera because clearly I CANNOT be trusted 🤣💅🏼

No but seriously here are some nails I’ve done this week 😭

✨ AVAILABILITY WILL BE POSTED TODAY! ✨

Appointments will be posted at 7:00pm 🤍

Keep your eyes peeled 👀 — slots will go quickly! 💅🏼
