Happy Monday folks.....

It's a quick turn around between Saturday & today but I had a lush day off yesterday.....

Got up early for a run....Pontrhydyfen to Goytre, up over Bryn, back to Afan forest to Pontrhydyfen.....

Then we took the dogs down to the beach....

Everything was amazing....the sky before dawn....the wildlife....the scenery....the peace & quiet....

I am grateful to be able to get out & enjoy where we live in this way....

Reflecting back on this beautiful stag I came across.... I'm going to have a calm & quiet presence this week which will be perfect for all the holistic treatments I have booked in.....

Here is the CACI hand treatment....it's deeply hydrating, softens lines, boosts circulation & is incredibly relaxing.

We included some foot reflexology to fill the time the mask was on while some clients prefer a shoulder & scalp massage.

The treatment concludes with a hand massage....my arms & hands often ache more than anywhere else so a hand & forearm massage is 1 of the nicest areas to have treated in my opinion....did you know the hand & wrist have a staggering 27 bones....& look how hard these bones, tendons & muscles work....& then there's the touch sensors & neural pathways....it really is amazing how our bodies work....so show your arms & hands some love guys....

Having your nails done is so much more than just getting your nails painted....

Using a good product applied professionally keeps the natural nail healthy....

It's good value for money....3-4 weeks of nice nails....

It's cheaper than therapy....we have a good old natter & clients often leave feeling lighter than when they first come in....

Pedicures are also very popular but let's just say not as photogenic lol

Cozy vibes are back at the salon....I do love a warm glow & cwtchy blanket.

As the season shifts our bodies naturally transition but this can manifest in stiff joints, sluggish digestion & increased anxiety.

I can't stress enough how important holistic/restorative treatments are as a health bridge to ground the nervous system & support immunity.

My journey started 26 years ago when I first qualified in massage & over the years I've gained numerous qualifications in various styles & still today continuing to develop my knowledge & practise both personally & professionally.

For me, my job is more than a certificate....it isn't a side hustle or social media trend....I live & breathe it, sometimes I know what my clients need before I've even done a consultation....that's where the skill is.

Happy Wednesday folks....back today after an amazing mini trip to Costa del Sol....can't call it a mini break because I explored so much of the coast line from Málaga to Torrequebrada....I wasn't there for a long time, I was for a good time....& I certainly made the most of it 😎

A lot of clients have been asking lately what's the news about nail products getting banned for use....the brand I use & have only ever used in 20 odd years 'Biosculpture' is safe & only contains the best ingredients with clients natural nail health in mind.

What I will say though, is that sometimes our industry is always under scrutiny & they fixate on a headline & it scares clients. I remember when they tried to make out UV curing lamps could cause skin cancer but to be fair you were never at risk....your UV absorption would be far greater from putting the washing out on the line....but most people wouldn't put sun protection on to do that.

So my message to you is just chill out....even if you don't have Biosculpture & you have other brands....I'd be more concerned about the ingredients the food industry put in & you're eating, the alcohol you're drinking, the f**s & vapes you inhale....so getting your nails done could be 1 the healthiest thing you do.
