Our own safe version of the solar eclipse ❤️ It was so beautiful to practice as the eclipse approached. Just as we finished our practice we felt the energy change, the light drop and the shadows appear 🙏✨

🔥 That was a fiery practice 🔥 Well done Ashtangis!
We went fast tonight because it's hot and heavy weather and when it's hot and heavy we can feel lethargic and heavy, so we balance that out by stirring things up, speeding up the breath and movement, keeping a lightness in the practice to bring a lightness to mood and body.

We can rise to these challenges when we balance the Tapas of dedication and effort with the Santosha of contentment ✨ We show up, we try AND we are ok with it not coming easy and our practice not being as strong, or light or easy as usual.

We can rise to these challenges when we balance sthiri witness sukha (steadiness/ effort with ease / spaciousness), when we practice with an effort that has a quality of spaciousness or lightness to it.

This means sometimes we skip a vinyasa, we take Childs pose, we take a modification... because that will give us the lightness / spaciousness 🙏 Having the strength and wisdom to do this gives us the strength to keep showing up for life, even when it's not going the way we hoped, when challenges are coming at us from everywhere...we can show up even then, with vulnerabilities and honesty because we've practiced it on the yoga mat.
