As I sit in the garden with my morning coffee, I’ve been reflecting on what was an incredible weekend at Tropic Fest. 💚✨

There was one moment in particular that completely stopped me in my tracks…

For those who don’t know, this is my beautiful friend Michelle, or “Sugar” as I nicknamed her when she became a Tropic Ambassador. (Back when Lord Sugar was involved… I thought I was hilarious obvs 🙈)

If I’m completely honest, when Sugar first started her Tropic journey, my sister and I weren’t exactly supportive. We’d never heard of Tropic, assumed we’d be expected to buy things we didn’t want and, like many people at the time, we wrongly lumped it in with all the stories around pyramid schemes.

Looking back, we cringe.

Thankfully, Sugar took it all in good humour, and before long she’d completely won us over. We became customers, hosted pamper evenings for her, celebrated every success and cheered her on all the way to the Glammies.

She was passionate, genuine and believed so deeply in what she was doing.

When Sugar passed away in 2017, I don’t think I ever imagined I’d one day become a Tropic Ambassador myself. In fact, part of me almost felt like, “That was Sugar’s thing.”

Now, having experienced this incredible community from the inside, I know she would have absolutely thrived. I genuinely believe she’d have built an amazing team and probably been chasing Diamond 💎

Last weekend Tropic Skincare created a beautiful memorial space where ambassadors could remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

I submitted Sugar’s photo.

As I wandered through the arches trying to find her, one of the girls asked, “Have you found her yet?”

Just as I was about to say “Not yet…” a gust of wind blew one of the photos from the ground over to me.

It was Sugar.

Out of every single photo hanging there… hers found me 🥹

Maybe it was coincidence.
Maybe it was perfect timing.

Either way, it felt like she’d found me instead.

For a few minutes, it genuinely felt like I’d brought my mate to Tropic Fest after all 💚✨

The most gorgeous baby bump 💖🥹

These were taken just one week before Queen G arrived… and the funny thing is, we had no idea she was a girl 🥹

Because we already had Bobby, Andy kept saying, “You can have a girl for 9 months” 🤣 so naturally my bump became known as… Doris 😭🤣

Honestly, it got to the point where when she was born, Doris nearly stuck 🤣 I just couldn’t do it!! Although grandad still calls her Doris now and Queen G is NOT impressed and quickly tells him off 💁🏼‍♀️🤣

Looking back at these photos makes me feel so emotional 🥹 I loved those quiet evenings just taking time to look after my bump and bond with ‘Doris’. One thing I used every night was Elixir oil for a little bump massage 💆🏼‍♀️✨ (way before I was ever a Tropic ambassador!)

Funny how some little rituals stay with you 💖
