The process behind your tattoo

It starts with your ideas.

You send over your references and what you’re looking for, and I create your initial design.

At your consultation, we’ll talk everything through, make any changes together and consider the size and placement before finalising your tattoo.

I also prefer to carry out your patch test at the consultation, where appropriate, so it’s all taken care of before your tattoo appointment.

One of the things I love most about tattooing is that my clients are all so different.

Different ages, styles, stories and reasons for wanting a tattoo.

Some are getting their very first, while others have been collecting them for years. Some know exactly what they want, while others just know they want something that feels like them.

And that’s what I love about fine line, there isn’t a certain “type” of person who gets one.

You don’t have to fit a particular style, age or personality.

You just have to find something that feels right for you.

And I think that’s really rather lovely 😬

THREE things I wish people knew before booking a fineline tattoo

1 Smaller isn’t always better.

Delicate doesn’t necessarily mean tiny. Giving a design enough space can help retain detail and allow it to settle more gracefully over time.

2 Your reference isn’t always your final design.

Inspiration is a great starting point, but placement, proportions, skin and the design itself all need to be considered when creating the final tattoo.

3 Fresh isn’t healed.

Fineline tattoos naturally soften and settle during the healing process, so what you see immediately after an appointment isn’t the finished result.

For me, it’s not just about creating something beautiful on the day. It’s about considering the design, placement and how it will live on your skin.
