This message right here? This is exactly why I pushed myself further.
For so long, as a sports massage therapist, joint injuries felt like something “outside” what I knew. I’d see improvements in muscles, in movement, but I knew there was so much more I could understand beneath the surface. I didn’t want to guess. I wanted to know.
That’s why I took the time, did the degree, and built that deeper knowledge. Not to rush it, but to earn it, properly.
Hearing “my knee feels free to move”? That’s the work. That’s everything. 💛

🚨 5 signs your body might be asking for some extra attention…🚨
You don’t have to be seriously injured to benefit from sports therapy.
Sometimes it’s the little things — the niggle that keeps coming back, muscles that constantly feel tight, reduced mobility or simply not recovering like you normally do.
Your body is constantly giving you feedback. Learning to listen to it early can help you stay moving, training and performing at your best. 🖤
Whether you’re an athlete, gym-goer or simply someone who wants to feel better in their body, sports therapy isn’t just about treating injuries, it’s about maintenance, recovery and keeping your body functioning at its best.

Okay so Dan is very dramatic on the best of days, but he did handle this well… ish
Dan has jumped calf firsts into his hyrox training sessions, on top of running his unreal gym and putting up with me in the room next door 🙈😂
He came in with a slight pulling sensation through the calf that hadn’t quite settled, so we focused on improving movement, reducing muscular tension and supporting his return to comfortable loading.
🔴 Cupping was used to provide a gentle decompressive stimulus and help reduce the feeling of tightness and restriction around the calf.
🔪 Blading / IASTM was then used to work through areas of soft-tissue restriction and improve short-term mobility, helping the calf feel less restricted through movement.
The aim wasn’t to simply “work harder” on the injured area — it was about getting the surrounding tissues moving comfortably while gradually building the calf back up.
Recovery isn’t just about treating the painful spot. It’s about understanding why it is still symptomatic and supporting the body through the appropriate stages of rehabilitation. 💪

20 minutes. One happy client. One very convincing review. 😂🥰
Last night I worked with and it’s safe to say the feedback speaks for itself! 👀
Sometimes you don’t need a full hour to make a difference — the right techniques, targeted work and understanding exactly what your body needs can make 20 minutes count 💆♀️✨
And apparently… I did just enough to leave him wanting more! 🤣
Thank you for the lovely feedback — it genuinely means so much to me 🫶🏼

🩷 Why do I add movement while the cups are on?
Cupping doesn’t have to mean simply placing cups on the body and leaving them there.
When working around areas such as the ITB (iliotibial band), I like to combine cupping with controlled movement and mobility.
In this video, the cups are placed along the outer thigh while the leg moves through controlled bending and hip movement. This allows me to work with the tissues while they’re moving, rather than treating the area completely statically.
✨ The aim?
• Encourage movement through the surrounding soft tissues
• Combine soft-tissue work with mobility
• Help reduce feelings of tightness
• Allow the client to actively move while receiving treatment
Your body is designed to move — so sometimes, treatment can be too. 🩷
Treatment is always adapted to the individual and their presentation.

Your mind is a muscle too🧠❤️
Although I predominantly look after the physical side of my clients, I think it’s just as important to look after what’s going on inside our heads.
For some of my clients, I’m not just their therapist — I’m someone they can talk to, laugh with, vent to and sometimes even see as a friend. And honestly, they become that to me too. ❤️
You never truly know what someone is going through behind closed doors. So please, check in on your people, have the difficult conversations, listen without judgement and look after your own mind too.
And if anyone ever needs a hand, a chat or simply someone to listen, you can always reach out to me. You don’t have to have the right words, and you don’t have to go through it alone.
Your mind deserves the same care as your body. 🧠❤️
