Please follow it carefully to protect your natural hair and prevent matting. 🤎

WASHING YOUR HAIR

• Brush your hair thoroughly before washing, gently removing any tangles.

• Always wash your hair upright in the shower. Do not tip your head upside down, as this can cause the extensions to twist and tangle at the roots.

• Use a professional extension-safe, sulphate-free shampoo.

• Wet the hair thoroughly, then apply shampoo to your scalp. Gently massage between the nano bonds using your fingertips—never scrub, rub in circles or bunch the hair together.

• Let the shampoo run down through the lengths. Smooth it downwards rather than rubbing the extensions.

• Rinse extremely well, making sure no shampoo remains between the bonds.

• Apply conditioner only from the mid-lengths to the ends. Keep conditioner, oils and masks away from the nano bonds, as they may cause slipping.

• Rinse thoroughly, keeping the hair flowing in a downward direction.

DRYING YOUR HAIR

• Gently squeeze out excess water. Do not rub or twist the hair with a towel.

• Wrap the lengths loosely in a microfibre towel—never leave wet hair wrapped on top of your head.

• Carefully separate the hair into sections. Use your fingers to make sure every individual nano strand is sitting separately and is not tangled with the strands beside it.

• Dry the roots and every nano bond first using a hairdryer on a medium or cool setting. Lift each row and direct the airflow downwards.

• The bonds and the hair between them must be completely dry. Leaving the roots damp can cause the shed hair to knot together and create matting.

• Once the roots and bonds are fully dry, dry the lengths in sections using a brush. Keep the airflow pointing down the hair shaft.

• Never go to bed with wet or damp extensions, and do not allow the bonds to air-dry.

SEPARATING YOUR NANO STRANDS

This is one of the most important parts of your aftercare and must be done every day.

• Divide your hair into rows so you can clearly feel and access the bonds.

• Starting at the bottom row, use your fingers to locate each individual nano bond.

• Gently run your fingers around and between every bond, separating each extension strand from the ones next to it.

• Make sure no natural shed hair is joining two or more nano strands together.

• Work through every row until each nano strand moves independently.

• Pay particular attention to the nape of your neck, behind your ears and around the sides, as these areas are most prone to matting.

• Do this at least once every day and always after washing. If your hair tangles easily, separate the strands morning and evening.

BRUSHING AND SLEEPING

• Brush at least twice daily using an extension brush.

• Hold the hair securely near the roots and begin brushing at the ends, gradually working upwards.

• Brush carefully between the rows, but never drag the brush forcefully across the bonds.

• Before bed, make sure your hair is completely dry and place it into a loose plait or low ponytail.

• Sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase or wearing a silk bonnet will help reduce friction and tangling.

Regular maintenance appointments every 6-8 weeks are essential.
