Our member shares their insights into the Pre-Prep programme.
🏫
Head of Pre-Prep, Francesca Pay, explains how outdoor exploration, purposeful play and nurturing relationships lay the foundations for a lifelong love of learning, giving every child the confidence to thrive from the very start.
📚
At that journey continues through every stage of school life. From Pre-Prep to Sixth Form, pupils are supported to become happy, resilient and intellectually curious young people, with the confidence and skills to embrace opportunities and make a meaningful impact on the world.

Our member discusses the ways your body holds stress.
🗣️
Did you know that the fascia is what holds all of your bad days?
👎
The let downs. The lost chances. Those difficult moments you endured - and survived.
💫
By spending time to gently release the starch-like quality in a tight fascia, through presence and pressure, these stagnant energetic areas and adhesions can melt away - and the body can restore itself to its own vibrancy. It works sort of like an assisted stretch.
🧘‍♂️
As a somatic coach and spiritual seeker; use breath, mantras, meditations and the voice as key parts to helping stuck energy move through.
🫁
The outcome?

You leave feeling lighter physically and emotionally.
Your breath lands deeper.
Your posture has changed for the better.
You embody freedom, again.

Our member St Hilda's Harpenden has an extensive programme of co-curricular activities designed to help every girl discover what she loves.
🎨
From fencing to fine art, sport to STEM, junior choir to gymnastics, St Hilda's Harpenden programme of clubs sparks curiosity, develops skills and - most importantly - means having fun.
👧
And if the girls have a passion waiting to be explored, they will always look at how we can support it. Last year, this led to the launch of our hugely successful St Hilda’s Ski Squad, and St Hilda's Harpenden are delighted to introduce two brand-new additions to their timetable:

- Ballet, led by the wonderful ballet_with_zoe, develops discipline, strength and artistry, while
- Chess, delivered by United Knights, encourages strategic thinking, focus and problem-solving in a fun and supportive setting.

At St Hilda’s, co-curricular isn’t an extra — it’s an essential part of helping girls grow in confidence, character and curiosity.
