🤍 INTRODUCING… THE LITTLE LIFT PROJECT 🤍

I’ve been thinking for a while about how I could use my little business to give something back, and I think I’ve finally found something that feels right.

So, I’d love to introduce The Little Lift Project. 🥹🤍

Once a month, I’ll be opening my chair completely free of charge to one person who could simply use a little lift.

Because sometimes life is just… a lot.

It could be something big. It could be something that might seem small to everyone else. Maybe someone has had a horrible month, is struggling with their mental health, has experienced a loss, is caring for somebody else, is going through a breakup, is struggling financially, is an exhausted mum who never gets a minute to herself, or is simply the person who spends so much time looking after everyone else that they’ve forgotten to look after themselves.

There is no struggle too big or too small. You don’t need a diagnosis, you don’t need to explain or prove that you’re struggling, and this isn’t about deciding who has it “worst”. 🤍

Sometimes we all just need somebody to do something nice for us.

Each month, I’ll open private nominations where you can nominate someone in your life who you think could use that little lift. You can tell me as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing about why you’ve nominated them.

I’ll then choose one person and invite them into my chair for a completely complimentary appointment of their choice from selected Poppy Locks services — whether they fancy a wash & blow dry, curls, pin curls, a hair up, or simply an hour where they can sit down, switch off and have somebody look after them for a change. 🫶🏼

All nominations will be kept completely private, and the person chosen will be contacted privately. There is absolutely no expectation for their story, photographs or appointment to be shared publicly — this isn’t about recognition or content. It’s simply about doing something kind for someone who might need it.

Hair obviously can’t fix the things life throws at us. But if sitting in my chair for an hour, having a chat, getting your hair done and walking out feeling even that tiny bit more like yourself can make someone’s day a little brighter, then that’s enough for me. 🥹

One person. One appointment. Once a month. One little lift. 🤍
