POWER OF MAKEUP 😱

There’s something so fascinating about the power of horror makeup and how a few brushes, colours, and a bit of creativity can completely transform a person into an entirely different character. 🎬🩸✨

One of the reasons I’ve always loved horror films is that they combine storytelling with incredible artistry. Some of the most iconic monsters and villains in cinema were created long before CGI, relying on talented makeup artists, prosthetics, and practical effects to bring nightmares to life. Even today, practical horror makeup still has a unique magic that audiences connect with.

For me, horror makeup is more than just getting dressed up ( even though that’s the fun RIGHT 😛 ) it’s a form of expression and creativity.

It’s amazing how makeup can make you feel confident, become a character, tell a story, or completely challenge the way people see you in a single photograph. The transformation process is honestly one of my favourite parts.

The difference between these two photos is a reminder that makeup isn’t about hiding who we are, it’s about creating, experimenting, and celebrating an art form that has been a huge part of horror history for decades. And if you know me, you know my love for all things spooky runs deep. 🖤🎭🔪
