This room was built around real life.

Around motherhood, school runs, responsibilities and more than 14 years of working in beauty.

But it was also built around the women I wanted to care for.

Women who may not feel comfortable in a busy salon.
Women who value privacy and one-to-one attention.

Women who spend most of their time looking after everybody else and want somewhere they can arrive exactly as they are.

Becoming a Best Home Salon finalist means so much because Kay’s Sanctuary was never intended to be a second-best version of a salon.

This little room was created with purpose - to give local women somewhere calm, private and comfortable where they can let somebody else take care of the details for a while. 💜

A treatment at Kay’s Sanctuary begins before you arrive.

The bed is prepared, fresh towels are ready, the products are laid out and the room is made comfortable for you.

They may seem like small details, but when you spend most of your day remembering what everybody else needs, it can feel lovely to walk into a space where everything has already been taken care of.

You don’t have to think ahead.
All you have to do is arrive. 💜

I nearly rushed straight past becoming a Best Home Salon finalist.

I felt proud and excited, but almost immediately, my mind moved onto the children, the business and everything that still needed doing.

It made me realise how often women move straight from one responsibility, achievement or difficult moment onto the next without properly stopping to take anything in.

We tell ourselves we will pause when everything is finished.
But there is nearly always something else waiting.

You don’t have to reach the end of your list before you’re allowed to breathe, feel proud or let somebody look after you.

You’re still allowed to receive care on a completely ordinary day. 💜

Does your brain immediately move onto the next thing too?

Have you ever decided you desperately need some time for yourself… and then looked at a treatment menu and thought:

“But what am I actually supposed to book?” 😂

You don’t need to understand every treatment or choose the “perfect” one before contacting me.
If your back and shoulders feel heavy and tight, we might look at a back massage.

If it’s your busy mind and tension around your head, neck and shoulders, an Indian head massage might feel more suitable.

And if you’re feeling tired, dull and not quite like yourself, I may recommend a luxury microdermabrasion facial so you can switch off and leave feeling refreshed.

It simply means that you matter in them too.
