PRODUCT OVERLOAD - it’s a minefield out there with social media pushing products and styling methods for curls.
There is too much information and misinformation out there to know what is right for your curls.
But just look what Hayley’s curls could do when they had a DevaCut for curls and the build-up removed.
Curls want to be curls but if you overload them with heavy products they will struggle.
Silicones, oils and butters will stop your hair absorbing the water it needs to flourish.
This after pic is natural hair care and was achieved with lots of water and only three products - shampoo, conditioner and gel - and no comb or brush anywhere near her hair.

CURL JOY - Sarah was so happy with her new look.
Of Egyptian descent, Sarah had grown up with message that curls weren’t acceptable and needed straightening with chemical treatments.
Thankfully there is more of a movement to embrace curls now.
Sarah was happy to lose those dead ends, damaged after years of straightening. They weren’t doing her amazing curls any favours, and when I cut the waterfall layers in we were both excited to see their potential.
Sarah was also overwhelmed with all the product choice and washing and styling techniques pumped out on social media.
Her curls came back to life at the backwash where I explained my washing and styling routine, gave her a mirror to hold and got her to touch and feel her hair when wet and when drying.
Sarah left with clear understanding of how to achieve the same results at home. Her curls can continue to improve in the coming weeks and months.
We both had a lovely time at the appointment, I love my job.

EMBRACING WAVES - Lynn is embracing her natural hair after decades of fighting it.
Lynn always had it cut short because she couldn’t control the frizz.
But the last two months have been a revelation since she stopped straightening.
Now she has had the right cut and a lesson at the backwash she is looking forward to seeing continued improvement.

HIDDEN CURLS - Heather has taken the first step to discovering her curls which she said had been “the bane of her life”.
Years of dehydration cannot be undone in one appointment but now she has the right cut and understands how to get better results at home her curls should transform in the coming weeks and months.
We ran out of time in the appointment so the after photo is not as good as I would have liked but it shows her potential.
I’m looking forward to seeing Heather’s progress and journey to loving her curls.

CURLS ALIVE - Jess was ready for a big chop after years of growing her hair due to a dread of hairdressers.
But following her first appointment with me last year she felt she could trust me to give her what she wanted.
Jess felt her hair was just dragged down and was happy trust me to lose some length and give her curls some shape.
