We asked her ‘shall we get lots more toys for the little boys and girls who come here (Alder Hey) and of course the answer was yes!! Every day this month Daisy will be picking one or more toys to add to the collection on a daily trip to tbe shops, now she has learnt to share there is no stopping her ❤️

After five days in Alder Hey with Daisy, we saw how important ward toys are for children and parents.

They distracted her, encouraged her to move and made the hospital feel less scary. They genuinely saved our sanity and gave us a few precious minutes of peace.

We brought some of Daisy’s toys in after two days, but during an emergency it isn’t always easy to go home—especially with one parent, no car or everyone working. Having toys already on the ward gives parents one less thing to worry about.

Sadly, many toys were broken or incomplete: a Barbie house with no dolls, garages with no cars, a shop with no food or baskets, and drawing boards with no pens. There was also very little for children aged three and over, especially teenagers.

Daisy loved the sit-on car, which nurses said the children constantly argue over! More ride-on toys would be amazing.

We’re collecting brand-new items only until the end of August, as Alder Hey cannot accept second-hand toys. This could include cars, playsets, dolls, dressing-up clothes, doctor sets, books, puzzles, crafts, sensory toys or games and accessories for older children.

Please consider picking up one small new toy during your next weekly shop, or donating £5 through the fundraiser so we can buy items on your behalf. Even one small contribution could completely change a child’s day.

Daisy Update ✨

Princess Daisy is on the mend. Her eye is so so so much better and shes 90% back to her sassy self. Waiting for Docters to see what the new results say and if she needs to be monitored anymore. Anyone with appointments today will be cancelled as im unsure of what time we will be home and honestly im absolutely knackered so will try and get some sleep when i’m back. I will have spaces friday/saturday/sunday so if you’ve been cancelled this week please can you send me your weekend availability and i’ll get you in before we go away ❤️

Just in Alder Hey and shes going on a few drips, she has cellulitis of the eye for everyone asking ❤️
