The proposed closure of Stanley's Services for Children in South Tyneside is something that is incredibly close to my heart.

Many of you will know that I used to work there, and I saw firsthand the difference these services make to children, young people, and their families. This isn't just about a building or a budget—it's about real people, real lives, and a service that has supported so many when they needed it most.

Seeing so many former colleagues, families, and members of our local community coming together through peaceful protests has been inspiring. It shows just how valued and needed these services are.

I stand in full support of everyone fighting to protect Stanley's Services for Children. Our children deserve access to the support they need, and our dedicated staff deserve recognition for the incredible work they do every single day.
