🚩 AESTHETICS PRACTITIONER RED FLAGS KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR

When it comes to aesthetic treatments, your safety should always come before price, convenience, or trends.

Before allowing anyone to inject you, there are some important red flags you should never ignore:

🚩 1. Anti-wrinkle treatment without a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber

Anti-wrinkle medicines are prescription-only. A proper consultation and prescribing process should take place with an appropriately qualified prescriber. If someone is offering you anti-wrinkle treatment without the appropriate prescribing process, that should be a major red flag**.

🚩 2. No evidence of appropriate training or certification

Don't be afraid to ask your practitioner about their qualifications and training. Aesthetics is a medical field, and you should be confident that the person treating you has received appropriate training and understands anatomy, complications and patient safety.

🚩 3. Overfilling

Treatments should be tailored to the individual, their anatomy and their desired outcome. If a practitioner is routinely administering very large volumes of filler into an area in a single appointment simply because "more is better", that should make you question their approach to safety and aesthetics.

🚩 4. Extremely cheap prices

If the price seems too good to be true, ask questions.
What product is being used? Is it a reputable, appropriately sourced product? Is the practitioner properly trained? Are they insured? Is there appropriate aftercare?
Quality products, proper training, insurance, clinical equipment and safe practice all have costs attached. Your face and safety are not the place to look for the cheapest deal.

🚩 5. Poor hygiene or an unsuitable environment

Your treatment environment should be clean, professional and appropriate for injectable procedures.
If you walk into a treatment room and immediately feel that hygiene standards are questionable, listen to that feeling. Don't be afraid to walk away.

🚩 6. No emergency equipment or complication protocols. What happens if something goes wrong? All practioner should be able to answer this and have emergency equipment available.

Your skin deserves more than a quick treatment. It deserves professional advice.

I always get asked by my clients, “How is your skin so nice?”,and honestly, it’s such a lovely compliment. I’m so grateful, and I absolutely love empowering women to feel confident in their skin.

So, I thought I’d explain a little about what I do and, more importantly, why I do it.

Firstly, I use my skin analysis machine to properly assess my skin and determine exactly what it needs, as well as identify areas that could be improved.

The biggest thing that came up for me was sensitivity, so I changed my skincare regime to focus on products specifically suited to sensitive skin. This has made such a difference.

It’s no secret that I also have a little tweak of anti-wrinkle to help keep the lines on my forehead at bay.

For my fine lines and overall skin texture, I have microneedling. This helps stimulate collagen by creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, encouraging the skin’s natural healing process, and helping to promote firmer, healthier-looking skin.

I also have polynucleotides, which I use to help improve hydration, give my skin that lovely glow and support collagen production.

Now, this might sound like a lot , but when you look at it over the year, it really isn’t!
