Greta Sim Nails
Hi! I’m Greta 👋 I’m a qualified nail tech with over 9 years of experience, specialising in Russian manicures and prescriptive nail care.

I know a lot of you have probably been waiting for my response to some of the claims that have been made and the emails that have been shared.
And I’m going to be honest, this is the last time I’m going to explain myself
or feel like I have to prove something. I know what’s true. My manufacturer knows what’s true. The other brands involved know what’s true. So instead of going backwards and forwards on social media, I’m simply going to leave this here.
I’ll share the email I sent directly to my manufacturer explaining exactly what I’ve claimed, what I’ve never claimed, and the work that I’ve actually done. And then the response I received from them today.
You can read both in full and make your own mind up. For me, this closes this chapter.
I’m going to carry on doing what I’ve always done, growing KORRA, using my experience as a nail technician to find and develop products that actually work for our industry, testing things, giving feedback, asking questions and constantly trying to make things better.
I work in this industry every single day. I know what nail technicians need because I’m one of you and that’s where my focus is going to stay.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported me throughout this little hiccup. The messages I’ve received have honestly meant a lot.
And now… back to KORRA. We’ve got a lot more coming.

I’ve gone backwards and forwards about posting this. I’ve stayed quiet. I’ve cried. I’ve been angry. I’ve questioned whether I should say anything at all because I know people will say, “It’s business.” And yes. It is business.
But behind a small business there is a real person.
KORRA is not a huge company with a massive team behind it. It’s me. I’m still a full time nail tech. I pack your orders, answer your messages, test products, speak to manufacturers, deal with problems and invest pretty much everything back into creating something better for our industry.
So when I see something I spent MONTHS researching, introducing, testing and then fighting to improve appear again… and again… and now again for the third time - of course it hurts. Especially knowing how much happened behind the scenes that nobody ever saw. I’m not posting this asking anyone to attack other brands. Please don’t. This isn’t about hate. I’m posting it because I deserve to tell my side of the story.
And because I want other small business owners to know that sometimes having an idea first doesn’t mean you get to keep it to yourself. Sometimes you do all the groundwork and still have to watch others enter the same space. But nobody can take away the work you did to get there.
To every single person who bought the original KORRA HygienTabs, sent me feedback, tested them in your ultrasonic, messaged me when something wasn’t right and trusted me while I kept pushing to make them better… THANK YOU. You didn’t just buy a little blue tablet. You helped me change something in our industry. 🖤And I’m nowhere near finished.
The original KORRA HygienTabs™.
Born from an idea. Built through persistence.
Is it true?
I’m starting a new series - REAL CLIENTS. REAL NAILS. REAL TIME. ⏱️
I’m a Russian manicure specialist and I’ve been working with clients for over 10 years. And this is what my everyday clients actually look like.
No choosing the easiest nails. No choosing the “best” skin. No only filming the sets I think are social media perfect.
I’m going to show you the before and the final result and how long it took me on my real, everyday clients.
Because the reality is, those “social media perfect” nails (and hands 👀) don’t sit in your chair very often.
As working nail techs, we see everything - different nail beds, different skin types, dry skin, tough skin, sensitive skin, damaged nails, short nails, wide nails and clients that can really challenge your skills.
And after more than 10 years behind the desk, I can tell you - this is normal. This is real salon work.
Social media usually shows us the best work, on the best nails, with the best skin, from the best angle.
I want to show you the other side.Real clients. Real timings. Real results.
Do we need this?👀⏱️
Most of the time I take the length down and shape the nails right at the end, after top coat. This gives you that nice, crisp finish.
Don’t forget to clean underneath the nail after you’ve finished filing too, just to neaten everything up.
The more length you take down at the end, the thicker the free edge will be, so make sure you refine underneath using an under nail cleaning bit. I usually work at around 13,000 RPM.
Why do we remove natural nail from underneath? 👀
To prevent product lifting.
When working with hard products, whether it’s hard gel or hard builder in a bottle, removing natural nail from underneath is a must.
Natural nail is flexible, but hard gel/product isn’t as flexible. So when the natural nail flexes underneath, it automatically starts “separating” from the product, and this is what can cause lifting at the free edge.
So when working with hard products, always remember to remove some of the natural nail from underneath.
And you only need to remove a little bit, you don’t need to keep filing until all the natural nail is gone. Just enough to prevent that natural nail from flexing underneath the product. 🤍
