PSA: The colour of the summer!☀️✨

Using a mixture of her natural tones, balayage, baby lights & 120grams of tapes, we have created THAT colour.
A perfect balance of lightness, dimension and warmth to make sure she glistens in the sun🌞

High maintenance to be low maintenance ✨
A big hair change is just what’s needed sometimes, however, you need to take into consideration your lifestyle.
Coming into the salon every 6 weeks for a big appointment for this client is just something that isn’t doable.
We had to make sure her hair didn’t become compromised whilst lifting out the old colour, meaning all different strengths of lightener were used on different sections. We needed to make sure it blended perfectly with the colour extensions we picked out, and also that her colour is something she could leave to grow out seamlessly until she’s next available to come in for a top up.
This is why thorough consultations are so important! And the results of this just speak for themselves 😍

Stop being scared of asking for what you want!🫢
A lot of new clients arrive to their first appointment with me feeling like they’re ‘too blonde’ or ‘too dark’ … but most of the time, the actual colour used isn’t the problem.
The problem lays with the placement of colour. Over foiling or too many toning appointments can completely eliminate any dimension.
Dimension is the BIGGEST game changer when it comes to hair. Not only does it create something a tad less maintenance, it creates art with your hair. Something so strategic from a hairdresser can make yourself, the client, look so effortlessly flawless, expensive and perfect.

I truly believe that copper is one of the hardest colours to formulate for. It’s very rare you get 2 clients wanting the exact same colour, and yet, those 50+ different colours all fall under the word “copper”.
Due to the underlying tones in copper, formulating correctly is super important. Copper isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ when each client wants different tones more prominent. Too much red, too much gold, too much base can throw your colour completely off your desired shade, yet still be copper.
Arrive to your appointment with inspo pictures, even if those pictures are the shades you definitely DON’T want.
A thorough consultation will always guide your formulation correctly.
