Physique 51

Hi everyone,

You don’t normally hear from me directly, but I’d like to properly introduce the latest member of the team!

Orla is now 6 months old, and it has been an absolute joy watching our daughter grow and change through every stage.

It’s certainly been a challenging few months. We had a rough start after Orla was born, and I’m still dealing with my own health issues. Iain travels four hours a day for work, and we’ve been trying to renovate a house ready to move into. Throw a baby into the mix and life has been a bit of a whirlwind! We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our family and friends, and we’ll be glad when things settle down a little.

Thank you so much for all the well wishes and gifts. I’m still working my way through thank-you cards! At the time, I thought hand-delivering them so everyone could meet this wee munchkin was a great idea. I’m quickly learning that time disappears when you have a baby, and the days seem to fly by.

A few updates from the clinic:

We were delighted to welcome Beth back from Australia for a few months — it was lovely to see her again.

Nicola has been working a few days a week since October, but she’s now taking some time to enjoy family life and settle into her move to Scotland.

Sarah has retired from her role in the office, and I’m currently attempting to fill her shoes! Please bear with me if the phone isn’t answered quite as quickly as before — I’ll always do my best. You may occasionally hear some babbling in the background as I try to juggle a laptop, a phone, and a baby all at once.

We are also long overdue a welcome back/Christmas/farewell get-together, so watch this space!

David has been holding the fort throughout it all. He’s been there to pick up the pieces, support me through many emotional moments, and is now helping clients with their aches, pains, and rehabilitation plans. He always has an empathetic ear, and you can guarantee he’ll greet you with a smile.

As always, we strive to provide the very best care for every client who walks through our doors, and we appreciate the trust you place in us with your health. We continue to invest in specialist assessment tools and treatment modalities, including our Focus Shockwave machine and RS Foot Scanner, allowing us to deliver the highest standard of care possible.

Like many businesses, we’ve seen a significant rise in operating costs over the past three years, despite keeping our prices unchanged during that time. To allow us to continue investing in the clinic, our equipment, and our services, there will be a £3 increase to each session from 22nd June. We have never charged extra for the use of specialist equipment or advanced treatment techniques, and that will remain the same.

Thank you again for your continued support. It truly means the world to us.

November is looking to be an exciting month from starting a new post to attending the RCPOD conference. I'm looking forward to seeing what i can take from the conference and how i can apply this to practice both within private practice and NHS practice.

Appointments are still available for the 28th of October, my next date in Physique51 will be the 8th December.

We are delighted to welcome Nicola Wignall Physiotherapist to the Physique51 team.
Nicola will be joining us on a part time basis starting Tuesday 9th September.

As well as obtaining a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy, Nicola is also a pilates instructor and a Mummy MOT practitioner. We are looking forward to our clients enjoying her wealth of experience.
