Every section had a purpose. Every placement was intentional.

My gorgeous guest didn't want to become a completely different person.

She just wanted her hair to catch up with the person she is becoming.

For quite a while, we'd kept her blonde soft, lived-in and low maintenance, allowing her natural colour to grow through so she could comfortably leave four or five months between appointments. It worked beautifully.

But she was ready for a proper change.
She's stepping into a new era of her life. She's feeling different, thinking differently, and growing into a new version of herself.

This hair became part of that transformation.
She wanted something that felt stronger, something more refined. She wanted more personality. Something more intentional.

But she also wanted to hold on to that boldness, that confidence and that little rebellious streak that makes her... her.

So no disappearing quietly into sensible-hair territory.

Absolutely not!

Instead, we embraced her natural brunette, creating a rich dark chocolate foundation infused with beautifully muted mushroom tones to add softness, depth and movement.

Then came the fun part.

A bold blonde panel through the front, but not as a solid block. I deliberately left fine ribbons of the darker colour weaving through it to create texture, detail and a much more natural finish.

On the opposite side, hidden underneath towards the back, I added a little flash of quirky attitude. It quietly reveals itself as the hair moves, adding another layer of dimension and a little unexpected surprise.

It's richer.
It's stronger.
It's more refined.
But most importantly...
It still feels unmistakably like her.

While colouring, we treated her hair with the Aveda Botanical Repair Professional Restructuring Treatment, helping to restore the hair's condition and strengthen it using plant-powered technology inspired by the hair's own natural bonds.

Healthy hair will always make beautiful colour look even more beautiful.

Bold, but not loud.

Refined, but never predictable.

Different, but unmistakably her.

✨ First colour transformation ✨

My lovely guest's hair was 100% virgin hair and had never been coloured before, so the goal was to keep it looking soft, natural and effortless.

We created a lived-in blonde with delicate ribbons of brightness while maintaining plenty of depth for a seamless, low-maintenance grow-out.

The result is healthy, glossy hair with beautiful dimension that will grow out softly.

I absolutely love how this turned out! 🩷
