Filler Girls & Hot Weather☀️

I have had lots of questions about filler and the recent heatwave, so heres what you can expect.

Why does your filler feel more noticeable?

Heat causes your blood vessels to widen which can lead to temporary swelling or that puffiness look. This can make your treated areas especially the lips, cheeks or under eye area feel slightly fuller than usual. This is completely normal and should settle once you cool down.

How to care for your filler in hot weather?

-Stay well hydrated.
-Wear your SPF daily to protect your skin.
-Try to keep cool and avoid long periods of direct sun exposure.
-If you have had treatment recently avoid saunas, sun beds, hot tubs and intense exercise until you have passed your aftercare period.
-If your feeling puffy, use a cool compress ideally your ice pack given by me (not ice directly on the skin) which can help reduce swelling.

Remember, any swelling caused by the heat is temporary and doesnt mean anything has gone wrong with your treatment but if you have recently had filler and your unsure whether what your experiencing is normal, pop me a message🩷
