✨ Still learning, but look how beautiful this turned out! ✨
This is only my second time creating a design like this using the melt and pour method, and I’m still learning the art of soap making. Every batch teaches me something new, and seeing this come together makes me even more excited to keep improving.
This two-toned melt and pour soap features a nourishing Shea Butter & Oat base infused with turmeric, paired with a creamy Goat’s Milk base coloured naturally with French Pink Clay and a touch of Moroccan Red Lava Clay.
Finished with handcrafted textured soap curls for a rustic artisan touch.
Not perfect, but progress is beautiful. 💗
There’s something so satisfying about this part of the process. Measuring, checking, and lining everything up before cutting helps ensure each bar is neat, uniform, and ready to cure properly. It’s all in the little details. 🧼💗

The moment lye meets oils… ✨
This is called saponification — the chemical reaction that transforms oils into handmade soap. One of my favourite parts of the soapmaking process! 🧼💛
Quick soapmaking safety tip 🧼
If you’re wondering whether your jug is safe for lye solution, check the bottom for the number 5 PP recycling symbol.
It’s generally considered lye-safe for soapmaking and commonly used for mixing lye solution.
Always make sure your container is sturdy and heat-safe before use.

The glamorous side of soapmaking? Beautiful swirls, creamy lather, and freshly cut bars.🤍
The not-so-glamorous side? Mountains of bowls, jugs, spatulas, and sticky soap batter waiting to be washed! 😅
Behind every bar of handmade soap is a lot of cleaning, scrubbing, and tidying up. It’s not the most exciting part of the process, but it’s all part of creating something made with care.
Today I’m sharing the reality of soapmaking—the washing up! 🧼✨🤍
Would you still make your own soap if you had to do all this cleaning? 😂
Just sharing one of my little moments of pure relaxation 🤍✨
There’s something so satisfying about cutting a freshly made loaf of soap and seeing each beautiful bar revealed for the first time.
This is my Citrus Blush tallow soap, scented with a refreshing blend of sweet orange, cedarwood, and litsea essential oils. The bright citrus notes are balanced by the warm, grounding aroma of cedarwood, creating a fresh and uplifting scent.
For its soft, rosy hue, I used French pink clay, while white kaolin clay adds a silky, luxurious feel to the lather.
