Working alongside Consultant Dermatologist Dr Toby Nelson, I offer a private mole and skin lesion screening service from my clinic. Using specialist dermoscopic imaging, your lesion is assessed by an experienced UK Consultant Dermatologist, giving you expert advice without unnecessary delays.

With increasing pressure on the NHS, many people face long waiting times for appointments and referrals. Others find private dermatology difficult to access or too expensive. This service provides a fast, convenient alternative, helping you get answers quickly and offering valuable peace of mind.

What happens during your appointment?

Using a dermoscope - a specialist device that provides magnification and illumination - I will capture detailed clinical images of your mole or skin lesion. These images are securely sent to Dr Toby Nelson, who will carefully review them and provide a comprehensive written report.

Your report is usually returned within 24-48 hours, although many of my clients receive their results much sooner.

Following the assessment, the dermatologist will advise whether:

✔️ The lesion appears benign and can simply be monitored or left alone.
✔️ The lesion is benign and suitable for removal using CryoPen Cryotherapy.
✔️ The lesion requires further investigation.

If the Consultant Dermatologist has any concerns that a lesion may be suspicious, your report will be marked as an urgent referral. You will then be advised to contact your GP, who can arrange a Two Week Wait (2WW) Fast Track Referral directly to an NHS dermatologist for further assessment. This ensures any suspicious lesions are seen as quickly as possible.

Safety always comes first, which is why every mole must be professionally assessed before any cosmetic removal is considered.
