This is one of the oldest photographs I have of the building, which dates back to the 1800s.

Although it isn’t a listed building, it represents one of the earliest surviving buildings associated with Gorseinon’s explosive growth during the late Victorian industrial boom!

From this angle it looks surprisingly small, but it’s a real TARDIS. The building stretches much further back than you’d expect, with an extension that was once used as a children’s playground.

It took us almost two years to bring this old chapel back to life. My husband completed around 80% of the renovation himself after leaving his full-time job to dedicate almost two years to the project. It was an unbelievable renovation.

His words - “It would’ve been easier to build 20 new apartments than renovate this old building!” 🙈

As we’ve restored it, we’ve tried to respect its history while giving it a new purpose for the next generation.
