October feels like the right time for me to talk about something very close to my heart ♥️

Domestic abuse isn’t always as simple as “just leave.”

Sometimes leaving is only the beginning.
Sometimes the familiar, however awful it was, can strangely feel safer than the unknown,
Sometimes you still feel responsible for keeping everybody else safe,
And sometimes, long after you’ve left, you’re still learning that love shouldn’t mean walking on eggshells.

I know this more personally than I wish I did.

It’s one of the reasons Harmony by Jaye will always be more than somewhere to have your hair done.

My chair is a safe space ♥️

You can talk.
You can cry.
You can sit quietly.
You can tell me nothing at all.

There is no judgement here 🫶🏽
