Just had your dermal filler treatment? Here’s what to expect!

1. Immediate Results - You’ll notice some enhancement right away, but remember, it may take a few days for the full effect to settle in.

2. Swelling & Bruising - A little swelling and bruising are common, but don’t worry! These usually subside within a few days to a few weeks

3. Sensitivity - Your skin may feel a bit tender or sensitive, especially in the treated areas. This is normal and will pass.

4. Remember to give adequate time prior to any big events to ensure your results are fully settled

5. Follow-Up - If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. Your comfort is my priority!

Please avoid non-steroidal anti inflammatory medications such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen unless they have been prescribed by a healthcare provider in which case you should continue the medication and we will need an in depth discussion about the increased risk of bruising and bleeding.

Additionally, supplements like fish oils and vitamin E may also increase the risk of bruising. Stopping these supplements a few days either side can help reduce this risk.

Please do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment. Alcohol is a vasodilator which can lead to increased bruising and swelling.

If you’re feeling unwell, whether it’s due to a skin infection, a cold sore, or any other health issue, I encourage you to reschedule your appointment. Your health and the well-being of others are our top priorities.
